That was something I thought about during GoT. The dragons are the equivalent of A-10 Warthogs and would be great in a close air support role for infantry.

In one word: Boring (still, even after 7 episodes).

    ** Spoiler alert! ** :cynic:

Yeah, we just watched the episode where everything is projected 10 years into the future -- and underwent the jarring experience of seeing that two of the main characters now had different actors! Supposedly, the makers of this series said they did it because they needed to have 'older' actors in those roles because everything was 10 years further along -- but the other characters looked almost exactly the same, except for the king, who was getting a little more 'thin on top'.

I never was particularly thrilled with any of the cast, as I have said already, but changing-out two main characters was disorienting and off-putting, IMHO....

Just finished ep 10. The last three episodes were way above par. It set up beautifully for what appears will be a more intense and fast paced season 2. I’m very happy I stuck it out.

Agreed, especially the season finale. This show takes the best things about GoT and emphasizes it; the political intrigue and of course, the dragons.
