You see that is called evidence not proof. These are very basic scientific terms. Good grief

What's more dangerous than having a gun in your house when it comes to avoiding homicides?

Funny, you've quoted that source multiple times. What behavior by someone in the US is riskier in regards to becoming a homicide victim than having a gun in the home?

You keep bring up science, science predicts things such as electricity, chemical reactions, chemistry and maths, that is why we have computers and communications.

When it comes down to the human elements, that is quite another matter, some people are criminals, others, the vast majority are not.

Your understanding of science is null.
Explain what Science is.... very few people can’t.
When people use the phrase ‘Science says’ they not much different that a preacher using the phrase ‘God says’.
    So what is Science?

As a teaser, does ‘Science’ describe gravity using Newton’s equations or those of Einstein?

Oh god. This is just sad. The laws of motion and the theory of relativity all contribute to our understanding of the concept of gravity. Really.....you must be kidding. Lol

Did I use the word, ‘proof’?

Science are things like electricity, so these things are predictable, that is why compters work in a predictable manner, maths are the basis for all technology, is that not proof ? Just as we know
    2+2=4, and 5 +1=6 or water molecules
H2O are composed of atoms of hydrogen & oxygen, a molecule
    That is a proved fact.

Science is something that can duplicated again and again in a laboratory under controlled conditions, so we are able to manufacture semiconductors that are the basic building blocks of all technology.

    That is science and proof.

Actualky, that wasn't what Kellermann your hero determined. It was doing illicit drugs, having someone arrested for fighting, living alone and renting. Why aren't you proselytizing against renting and living alone? It would save more lives.

I do not need your explanations of anything, I did science and chemistry experiments, built electronic kits since age 10, and you were not around then.

Newton described 3 laws of motion, and a separate discussion of the ‘universal force’ of Gravity in ‘Principia’, all expanding on Kepler’s work. Einstein described gravity as a curvature of Space time and both provided formulas to describe observations of gravity, with Einstein’s a more predictable model, more difficult to calculate, but both are still used depending on the problem but neighter, successful in defining what gravity actually is.
I am arguing you implying that you somehow have superior knowledge is baseless. And as usual, you did answer my questions.
In referring to your references to acrticles of studies that support your narratives is evidence of nothing, certainly not scientific evidence, but is evidence of your bias wrapped in your cloak of science labeled paper to try to give you the self perception of superiority in your arguements not unlike your ‘don’t you want to save lives’ questions in an attempt to gain the higher more ground.
As for Science, what is it? And as for evidence, what is scientific evidence? And, what makes it so and applicable? To say it’s simple knowledge would negate a considerable body philosophic discussion that still continues in discussion today resulting various theorims that are still subject of debate such as Baye’s theorem and Aumman’s theorem to remove bias from the evaluation of quality, value, and applicabity of what might constitute evidence. Bias, is certainly evident in most of the selection of what you term as evidence, which would fail under Aumman’s tests.
It doesn’t take much to put on a credible flash and awe show, but really isn’t needed when simple observation and experience conflict with your propositions.

We played with building guns and blowing things up when I was young....probably a Darwin thing, a lot of my friends didn’t make it.

The Fourth of July,, lots of blowing stuff up, on the 5th, early morning, I would go forth and collect sacks of un-exploded ordnance, blow up stuff, then collect powder in jars.

Once, I tried to make a rocket, it exploded,, lol !
    What an explosion !
Around a pound of powder packed into a thick packing tube with fins and a nose cone.

We made awesome exploding rockets and shoulder fired launchers... and learned young how to make shape charges. The Anarchist Hand Book (still have a copy) was our instructional source before Google.

Simple observation and experience is called anecdotal evidence and led to the flat earth theory and bloodletting used as medicine. Lol
