OP Well I wouldn't actually do anything, I'd just say 'Let's keep up the good work, because something needs to be done about the burgeoning global population, and wars have served to cull humankind splendidly upto now. So why spoil a good thing?
I have locked horns with many of that ilk perhaps spanning 40 years or so..... Co-Lion the Chuckle-headed is a good example, He claimed that your chances of needing a firearm for defensive purposes were INFINITESIMAL, and as such, he is on permanent ignore as far as I am concerned, I never could listen to his inane uninformative ramblings on firearms, in any case.
You can with the proper permits. And with a tank as long as the weapons are deactivated no permit needed (AFAIK).
Nope, the cannon can indeed be functional and a registered destructive device, like a Vintage Soviet T-56 Tank, if the cannon was registered prior to 1986 Tank killer story... http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-n...f/2015/10/2_men_killed_in_tank_explosion.html
The cigarette argument is invalid. If you wish to smoke, smoke. The smoke will kill you, the threat of being stabbed by a cigarette is EXTREMELY low, if at all possible. Passive smoking is the part that's being legislated against. So governments, well certainly the UK's government, do implement laws about smoking. Guns are a different matter. They're a tool that can be deadly. If you hold a store up with a baseball bat, knife or gun; it's likely death could result from the gun situation. Doesn't matter how sensible you are with a gun, many million are not. In society, when someone wants to go crazy, angry or steal, they will pick up a tool/weapon. If guns are not common, just like in the UK, guns are taken out of the equation as a possible weapon choice. The odd one will still get access to a gun but in 2017, America had 15,386. If you adjusted that for population and if America had UK laws, that number would be 336. http://www.gunviolencearchive.org
The first school years in Japan is attitude towards your fellow countryman and country. That brings high standards and standard of living but if a Japanese peson fails at something, they feel they've let everyone down and often commit suicide. The difference being, they harmed one person, themselves. Often with guns, innocent people lose their life, families lose children and parents. THAT'S the difference guns make.
Interesting article Quote, "For centuries, Japan has regulated the way that its citizens can own guns. Until World War II, civilians could own a variety of guns, including handguns. But after the war, the Allied powers, led by the U.S., instituted a number of arms control regulations which involved disarming servicemen and collecting guns from the public." Maybe America should take heed and enforce those regulations on itself. Practice what you preach. https://m.mic.com/articles/126573/j...d-how-to-eliminate-shooting-deaths#.8Bspbs6aT
Just a Heads up, Buds gun shop is having some good deals right now with free shipping. Just got another 1000 round case of 7.62x39 delivered yesterday.
Indeed it is not. Stop talking in riddles, stop being obtuse, and be specific and blunt on the matter.
Which is not relevant to the discussion. Which is simply too bad. Their decision carries the weight of law, and no amount of disagreement can change it. There is no choice but to abide by it.
The united state supreme court could have been wrong about homosexual marriage as well. Is such willing to be accepted? That homosexuals have no right to be married to one another, and that marriage is between one biological male, and one biological female?
The mass killing in the city of Nice, in the nation of France, is evidence to the contrary. One individual with a motor vehicle easily murdered eighty five individuals, and injured several hundred others, in the span of five minutes, making it a mass killing that exceeds anything which has occurred in the united states, outside of the september eleventh attack.
Hand guns and rifles in America need banned. The sooner, the better. Bring in tight regulations for the few guns that are allowed and jail those that flaunt the gun law, selling their assets to pay their prison cost.
Sorry; don't give a crap what you think since it's so clearly NOT based in reality. The intent of the Founders regarding the right to arms is clearly documented. Your claim is wrong, plain and simple. No argument. Their Heller decision is just one example; they acknowledge correctly that it protects the right of the people to be armed, but then twist itself in knots to explain how "shall not be infringed" means it can be infringed.....
Not going to happen. My right to self-defense is not up for debate either way, but you can't ban anything in this country without pursuing a Constitutional Amendment to make it feasible, and such is not a political reality in this country at this time. And if they banned anything without that amendment coming first, you would have a Civil War in this country. Maybe even if they managed to pass the amendment.
What's your plan for this? Are you going to help collect guns from those who aren't allowed to have them?
