Last week 3 Aussie officials visited our company to finalize a large order, and ensure the paperwork is done in accordance with Aussie law.

That's an initial order of 20k fully automatic AR rifles with suppressors. Are things as peaceful as some like to make them, or is the Government afraid of China invading?

And no I will not state the name of the company I work for.

No, Australia is not afraid China will invade. Yes it is as peaceful as BB makes out. Australia is truly the only place in the world were multiculturalism is not a major issue

Please, please pretty please with cherry on top, who do you work for… LOL completely irrelevant…

While we look at the situation of China not from a personal aspect but a global eye, it is China’s ambition around the world and the fact should China force issue with other nations Australia may be dragged into conflict with their largest trading partner.

Some Australian’s are passionate about what we see and how we get along but mostly we just shrug it off and simply get on with it. If you read many of the threads in this forum you might get the impression that Australia is very much like America in that it can be polarised by the smallest thing in government. You might get the impression that the Anzac spirit Australia’s soldiers showed and are respected for is lost. Truth is, that dig in and get it done attitude surfaces in the real world.

Not much has changed, come over and visit. It is well worth a look…

Hmmm,
such words from you, garry?
Isn't it you who raves against war refugees (especially those with darker skin and Muslim background), Abos, and so on and so on.... And all those late settlers in general?
You are a true chameleon - or I must have misunderstood you for quite some time. In that case I offer my apologies....
Regards

No, it is not me. I have always maintained people should be treated the same no matter skin origin or religion. IT IS YOU who divides people into demographic groups and stereotypes them, I contend it is due to your own vailed racism, while you demand it is me who is racist.

I continue to point out, the many cultural experiences I have had through CHOICE not demand and find it extremely exciting to do so. It is YOU who demands others MUST do this and that and think this and that. I ask you to think for yourself.

For somebody who continues to attempt to marginalise my comments as racist rants, nowhere at any place can you point to any one comment and say it is racist. I am very careful to insure that my own personal bigotry does not taint my comments but unfortunately that is blurred by my bigotry of willing ignorance and stupidity such as your attempt at insult here.

Yes I do admit I have bigotry in my blood but at least I am trying to change that by actively forging out different cultures to experience and learn about, to remove my own ignorance. I do not demand anything in this area from anybody else but to consider or simply learn what they are talking about.

Last time I checked Australia is a big island with reefs and sharks. Does China even have a working aircraft carrier? I know they were sporting one a few weeks back but I doubt the thing is functional.

Yeah good question for BB.

According to her arming the military means they're twice as likely to die in an invasion.

If citizens don't need guns to protect themselves, why do countries need guns?

They should disarm and just be nice to other countries, I'm sure that will work.

Then why are you buying more guns?

I guess your military are insecure since they carry guns and stuff.

Why do you need to arm your military? They might hurt themselves or something.

What's really going on, Obama has allowed our (USA) military to deteriorate so much that Japan, South Korea and Australia can no longer depend on the U.S. military keeping the western Pacific under control.

There's am arms race going on in the western Pacific. Today Australia is the 6th largest arms importer in the world.

There have been war clouds forming over the Pacific for eight years now.

As one American general said back in 2010, President Obama is a national security threat and the mistakes President Obama made in 2009 and 2010 will affect America and the world for twenty to thirty years into the future.
Obama took his eyes off of China and the western Pacific and China noticed it and made a few chess moves on the geopolitical chess board while Obama played checkers.

Bugger, 20K will barely go round - there's something like 22m of us. Whoever's buying needs to bump up the order a bit.

Mate, these septic tanks don't think they need ventilator fans in their toilets (bathrooms, wc), they do. They have this peculiar notion that the government here has disarmed the populace, news to me, I still have all my guns, we just won't allow terrorists to buy guns, or airline tickets, in the US they can buy guns but not airline tickets, go figure.

2530 Morgan Road
Bessemer, AL 35022

If you do it is 30K and they are F90 / EF88 assault rifle, fires 850 Rounds per minute, that's approx 2.1 seconds per magazine/

This OP is not news, this is news Reports government will sign deal for 30,000 EF88 Austeyr rifle

Not the best choice anyway

"Many cultural experiences". What - do you eat Tacos at least once a week ;) :D

Sorry old chap but that ABC commercial came to mind when I read the first part of your reply

And kudos (with salsa on top) for making a real effort to be multicultural - to be honest it is FUN once you really get into it - so much variety!!

I was going to say - if it is not the military buying the guns then ASIO is going to become bloody interested bloody fast

The "septic tanks" on this thread think they are just Yanking my chain but in truth they are so far off the mark that they are not even in the same solar system.

Don't you lot have maps? Want to look see who our nearest neighbours are?

But in truth we are just getting ready for Trump - after all Australia has been dragged into every American fight there is just about and there is no way Trump is going to NOT pick a fight with SOMEONE

I wouldn't be surprised if that increase of nearly 40K guns is due to the promotional arm of the Olin Corp (Winchester and Browning) which is run by a radical Jew and known as jihadwatch.org.

Those people are easy to fool, the site rattles the bucket and they all come squealing through the mud to suckle on mummy piggies teetees

What other leader has had a comb over, led his country with words of hope for the workers, rebuilt their industry, increased dramatically their military strength, and built a fanatical following by inciting hatred of a religion.

As I said - unless it is the military you might be getting some unwanted attention from our Federal Police - just unsure which branch it is but if they are semi-automatics with multi round capabilities they are VERY restricted as to who can own them
http://www.legislation.act.gov.au/a/1996-74/current/pdf/1996-74.pdf

Whish category are your weapons in?

But it might be someone hoping for a change in laws - in which case not this century

BTW - how sure are you that they are actually going to be shipped here?

NO at least twice...

Yes it is fun, it is extraordinarily interesting to learn about other cultures through as much experience as you can get. Just reading it in a book does no good.

Don't get me wrong I am making no effort to be multicultural, as I believe, even though Australia has considerable racism in various forms, majority accepts and welcomes those who really wish to be part of the Australian community. If they are willing to participate in Australia for a greater Australia, the least I can do is learn about their culture and rid myself of any ignorance I have.

No offence takenÂ…
