    Ewww French! LOL jokes.

    You'll love my background;
For me, both my parents are Aussie, but on my mum's side her dad is American/Scottish (born and raised in US but lived and worked in Scotland), and her mum is Spanish, and on my dad's side they are seventh generation Australian throughout.

So basically, you would probably call me simply Aussie, but past my parents, and within four generations, I'm Aussie, Scottish, American, Spanish and French. Eclectic is the word that comes to mind

My mother was from Mongolia and my father was from Kyrgyzstan. She was Asian, he was white-ish. There is some other crap thrown in there. My mother had some Japanese somewhere and my father had some Persian and Russian.

    All-American.
On my dad's side, probably German with some Cherokee thrown in and my mom's family descended from England. I think...both came to the USA in the late 1790s...something like that anyway :-D

......That's really self explanatory. Like my nationality is American yes, but I'm mostly Colombian and French, with a strong Jewish ancestry thrown in there too. I really only favor my pop's side, only thing I got from my mom's was the lighter skin tone.

Get it? What ethnic ancestry do you have?

no, not really. My great-grandmother was born and lived in Ireland until she married. Everyone else was Scottish. We have been about though and done a bit of exploring and travelling.

How many times do I have to tell you we were raised Catholic?:omg:

My Dad was agnostic. None of us follows any religion. If I were to follow one for objective principles it might be Presbyterian, the religion which founded equality and democracy.

But yes, the Irish culture was prevalent in the family.

I am sure there are others who have ancestry that span more than one continent. And one of their ethnic backgrounds did not conquer much of the world.

I was raised a Catholic, but rejected it in my teens. I prefer to just call myself a Christian. But a very Liberal one!

Okay..my paternal Grandfather Adolph came straight from Switzerland..My Grandmother Wilhelmina came from Austria..

It gets more difficult on the maternal..I have no idea who my maternal grandfather was because my grandmother was 'indiscreet'..I was told he was Italian..For some strange reason, I always thought they meant Sicilian..

On my maternal grandmother's side..they originally came from England when this nation was founded..but there was Irish and French in their background even then.

I represent Europe..in one package..A mongrel through and through..And all were Protestants.

I'm Welsh by birth and 'nationality'.

My father's side, within about 4 generations, is mostly Welsh with some Scottish (and some of that Scottish is probably originally of Norse extracton, but that is going back a long, long way!), and my mother's side (within about the same number of generations) is mostly English, with some Welsh. I think it works out roughly as my blood being half Welsh, just under half English, with the remaining portion being Scottish (so the Celts have a 'working majority'!). To the best of my knowledge (and both my parents have done alot of family history research, as far back as the records will allow) there is nothing else in the family at all.
