The writers name is Kathleen Hite, the show's name is The Waltons and the episode is Founders day.. I am not talking about dialogue. I am talking prose. If you can appreciate the beauty of English, spun into webs of images, celebrating character and defining a place, a time. Yes it helps to know the show but it is by no means needed. Start at 38 seconds close your eyes and listen as though this is a reading. Its beautifully done, and networks just don't allow this anymore.

Correction the writers credit is shared with Earl Hammer and Kathleen Hite.
