Click "my profile" at the top of this page. Then click "experience". They're all listed there. Go look-
I had 74K "credits", is that the same as "points?" I hope not because then I lost a helluva lot of points!
I had over 1 million points, which are not in the "experience" or any other place I can see. Over 90% vanished. Not that it matter a lot.
I had well over 100,000 more points than in either place here- can someone fix this? Most of my points were given to me by other members.
I have lost 2 million credits, too, guys! Points are not the same as credits, that's the first thing to remember. The Admin has tried to give us all the correct amount of points according to how man credits you had. It is harder to earn points than it is to earn credits. I'll work out how many points you get for each post in each forum when I have time.
I had over 64,000 points. . .I'm left with less than 5,000! AND, when I go back to look at my "latest posts," the latest one listed dates from 3/30/12 What happened to the 2 or 300 hundred posts I've made since then? I know that those done on Forum4Politics will not be transferred, and I don't care, but what about those I've done in THIS forum between yesterday and today? Why am I stuck on March 30? For what I can see by going to other people's "latest posts," their latest posts are actually listed! Where do I get an answer?
That's cute and probably true. But. . .it's even worse to lose the points. . .and still not have a life!
That makes sense, and I'm not worried about it. But, I just went to my "points" and I noticed that today I got a -2 points for a thread? What does that mean?
I was saving up for the Political Forum t-shirt!!!! Oh wait... for some reason my points are actually more than double my credits... Nevermind. Everything is working fine.
How did you manage that? I think you're an excellent poster, and you deserve all the points you get. .but how did you manage to get more points than credits, when everyone else lost 95% of their credits? And. . .would you happen to know why my "last posts" are stuck on March 30, when I have posted both yesterday and today?
Guys, when you say you have lost a certain amount of points, you haven't. You lost credits, which are not the same thing. I have to clear that up for you all!
Makedde, could you please help me understand a couple of things: I used to have about 66,000 credits, and had just made it on the page of "top credits." Now that these credits have been exchanged for points, I am basically back at the bottom of the forum in "points." I don't understand why. Second. Could you please tell me why I lose 2 "thread points" almost every day. What are "thread points," and how do I avoid losing them? And how are "points" given in term of posting? for some posting I get 2 points, for some I get 8 points. What's the difference? Third, I think you are aware of that issue already, but my latest posts are still not showing in "latest posts" entry under my profile. I am still stuck at 3/30! Thank you for answering these questions if you can.
Because this forum is entirely different to the old forum. There is no such thing as credits here, just points. The Admin has converted the credits to the amount of points we would have had we had this forum since the start.
Sadanie: Everyone has lost tons of credits/points. I had over 2 million credits - I have lost over 1.25 MILLION of them. I'm peeved as well, but that's how this forum works. I am not sure how you gain points. On the old forum, I was able to work out how many points you got for a thread, and how many points you got for a post, which varied depending on what forum you posted in. I'll have to work it out again. Not sure about why you lose 'thread points'. Does it say 'thread points' in your profile where it says 'experience'? I am not sure what all those points mean either. I haven't had time to have a look and work it out. Someone who is an expert with this type of forum might be able to provide more information.
Thanks for tying to answer Makedde. It's no big deal anyway, and i'm sure sooner or later we', all find out what this is all about. Yes, in my "experience" list, it shows point gained for posting everyday, and among those ther is one line that state ". -2 for thread". I was just curious, but it really isn't that important. Good luck with all the changes and the questions you're getting!
