White People Shot By Police Too

If they put a loaded gun on your hip, told you to wear a bullet proof vest, and told you to "police" the city and arrest people breaking the law but be careful because there are people out there who will ambush you and kill you with their gun you would be quick to shoot. Cops will always be human and humans are fallible. Most cops do their best so we should cut 'em some slack.

 

No cop should be “quick to shoot” unless they’re very sure they’re in imminent lethal danger. The two main problems are training and temperament.

 

Spoken like a person who likes to tell the police how to do their job yet has never patrolled or had to answer an armed robbery or violent domestic call. Where deadly danger lurks the policeman has to run to it. And their paramount duty to self is to stay alive. Even a well trained human with an even temperament can make a mistake when their life is in danger and they have a nano second to act. We should not tell the police how to behave in deadly situations while we sit in our La-Z-Boy.

 

They also commit crimes far out of proportion to their numbers so...

Not to mention the number of people killed by cops is extremely small far less than to he total number of people killed by violent felons.

 

Wow. So what number of unarmed people killed by cops is acceptable?

Spoken like a person who thinks it's acceptable for cops to err on the side of killing innocent people and should be beyond any criticism. Some people just aren't fit for the job, just like some people aren't fit for the military. When it comes to having the power of life and and death over others, we should hold people to a higher standard.

 

If there is no answer to the question, one shouldn't have been given. That, in a nutshell, is Trump. Foot in mouth disease because he doesn't know when to stop blathering.

 

With out knowing the circumstances of those killings of course. This was essentially a guaranteed out come when we eliminated the lower size limit for police officers so more women and certain minorities could serve. A five foot 4in 120 pounder, will very quickly discover that his or her options vs a 6'3" angel duster are extremely limited.

just like citizens without badges, those with badges are should not be above the law

the problem is cops know they get away with murder, so some use murder as a first resort vs a last resort
