The announcement was made this evening by her publicist.
No details yet, but I'll post them asap.

Thats too bad, a real talent like Micheal. To bad their like is not seen today. The industry has been taken over with talentless rappers who pretend to be music stars.

Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown.

News of Houston's death came on the eve of music's biggest night - the Grammy Awards. It's a showcase where she once reigned, and her death was sure to case a heavy pall on Sunday's ceremony. Houston's longtime mentor Clive Davis was to hold his annual concert and dinner Saturday; it was unclear if it was going to go forward.

 

How could they not know the location? Usually the only time they don't know the location is if someone is murdered in one place and found in another. It could just be the strange way they are wording it, but it doesn't make sense.

 

You shouldn't be. I am not a very compassionate person when it comes to idiocy.

Whitney Houston had the resources to take care of her addictions. Millions in this country don't. I feel for her daughter, but other than that, who cares?

 

Really sad to hear of her passing; she was a very talented performer; 48 is way to early to go.

 

If you don't care, why are you here? They haven't said how she died, drugs is just speculation right now.

 

Thats so true. She got messed up in some bad juju. It ruined her life. A lesson here somewhere.
