I'll tell you who she is...she's an American citizen and he is HER servant, not the other way around. If getting asked a question is too much for him, he needs to resign.
Mitt Romney refused to go back on that show because he didn't like those "Sharp tounged women". Seems to me like you got the wrong person to complain about.
Everyone on that show besides Elizabeth Hasselbeck is a rotten liberal foaming at the mouth. Romney is smart for not going into that den of vipers. I deeply respect Hasselbeck for putting up with those (*)(*)(*)(*)(*).
you misunderstood me (or maybe I wasn't clear) I am not talking about the View, I am talking about Conan O'Brien's reaction to it...the mocking her for daring to ask, the denigration. IMO it went way beyond a late night TV show bit. if he had said it 'tongue in cheek' that would be one thing but I believe he really meant it..very ugly..
Seems more to me like Conan is mocking the president, and satirizing those who would denigrate her for asking the question. But that's just my take on it. If I'm wrong, then this is incredibly dumb of him. ...Actually, no, I take it back. This is just really stupid. Apparently he's serious. Hey jackass, someone asked the president a tough question on a talk show and he waved it off. You don't attack the person who had the balls to do what very little of the media will (on either side of the board), at least not on the grounds that "she's just some random celebrity". You should be attacking the president for being unable to provide an answer, or at least acknowledge the question. If you have to attack the person asking (dunno, maybe it's in your contract or something), you should be attacking her on the grounds of the content of the question, but even that'd be pushing it in this case, because it's a legitimate question. As for the question, well, yes, the current administration is failing the middle class, primarily because it's just such a lame duck situation, and while one house of congress seems entirely useless, the other seems bent on doing nothing but harm. No points for guessing which ones I'm talking about. The main issue here is, "will Romney do better?" All indications that we have point to no the things that are wrong for the middle class now are the things Romney is going to make worse. Reducing the progressive nature of taxation, instituting austerity programs that will further cut aggregate demand, removing health-care reform which actually does help the middle class... It is unfortunate, but we're stuck in a truly (*)(*)(*)(*)ty situation, where it's a choice between the guy we know is meh, and the guy we can be fairly sure is (*)(*)(*)(*).
