    Nope.

    But trusting one's government?

    How smart is that?

So, you think some governments are involved, but not all?

I don't recall writing anything about trusting one's government.

I honestly don't know what to think about this. I've been trying to keep up and it seems to go in all different directions. I just cannot figure out why/how anyone gains by fudging numbers and destroying the world economy.

I would bet that he knows more about his daughter's test than you do.

My boss's girlfriend works for a major bank where she rotates between branches as a supervisor. Every time there is a positive employee, they send all employees at a branch for testing. Two of the employees on different occasions also left the line without getting tested, and were later notified that their tests came back positive.

There is no clear standard everyone is following, but I wanted to address that woman with the positive from a test she never took. She was registered and in line at a drive up testing site in Florida and eventually drove away. Depending on how many people did that, at the very least the person behind her tested positive and perhaps was told they were negative because she threw the system they were using to try to efficiently organize the site off. A lot of the issues arising are from Florida which was totally unprepared for what hit them. Another there I know of is they will not count positive test results that come from some of the emergency-approval test kits that have a discernible false result tendency.

Lots of food service employees here in FL and many establishments have made the same mandate, get everyone tested prior to re-opening. Yup, some who left the line got their positive results email only to get a negative result a few days later from a different testing location where they actually got tested. Is it rampant, probably not. Does it occur? absolutely

Testing isn't the end all and be all. A negative test today doesn't mean that you won't test positive tomorrow or the next day.

Folks should only get tested if they feel so sick that they seek medical care. You know, normal testing to determine what it is that ails you instead of testing just to look for numbers. It's gotten beyond absurd.
Covid-19 is far from a death sentence. When you consider the estimate by the CDC that the number who have, or have had covid is 10x greater than confirmed cases. That puts your chances of dying from covid, if you have no comorbidities, at a tiny fraction of a percent

There would have to be some kind of ethical, if not legal, problems with that. Unless they are paying families in cash, there will be some kind of paper trail. I would also think some of the recently bereaved would be insulted and report that kind of thing.

Why would nursing home management risk losing their license?

Why do criminals risk losing their freedom (and rightfully losing it) by risking going to jail. If you can catch them lock the bastards up.

The first casualty of a pandemic is truth.

The MSM is saying that a normal temperature is not good enough to go to school, however, if you do not have an elevated temperature you cannot get tested because you will test negative.

MSM is saying masks are good enough for the grocery store or liquor store, but not good enough to go vote in.

Nobody has the foggiest idea if tests are accurate, or what time frame tests cover, or if masks are any better than a couple of wraps of snot rag.

Truth is, very little is known. MSM are liars all.

That is a different situation. Some people commit *personal* crimes to fund their own desires. White collar crime is very hard to find and even harder to prosecute

That's why when you do catch them they should go to the general population and endure the same conditions, plus put them in the worst cell block.

There should be no Fed Hotels. Do to them what they did to G. Gordon Liddy -- put them where they must fight bare knuckled every day and make a fighting ring just to stay alive. At least that is so in a perfect world.

If you have thoughts of fiddling with numbers to get money you haven't earned you should be scared to death because the result may be death -- in a perfect world.

I believe the worst cells should be for murderers and rapists. The other criminals would just be in general population isolated from them.

I think Federal criminals are treated a bit better because their perceived "value" to society is greater than, say, a petty criminal. I'm not sure they deserve to die though. I think they should have to pay restitution and cannot ever hold a fiduciary position again.

Actually only a white collar criminal can run a company broke, and cause untold misery for the honest people who lose their jobs. They are as bad, if not worse, then the common criminal. And they are just as bad of a rot, if not worse, in the harm and detriment they do to society.

Oh, I completely agree they are awful and cause all kinds of damage to the economy and employees. I'm just pointing out that their perceived "value is greater so they are treated differently than "common" criminals.

    I read this quote recently:

    A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car;
but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.

So make progress and punish them much more harshly than they have been punished in the past.

The world is now, and has always been, controlled by sociopaths.

This virus is the perfect vector for panic and the subsequent looting of treasuries by these bad (to put it mildly) actors.

While the hoi polloi broke windows and grabbed sneakers, the mega-sociopaths had much bigger game in mind.

    Next stop: World War III
