Why do gay rights groups use such a feminine flag?

I mean, really, could they have picked anything more stereotypically feminine to represent their cause? They might as well have just added unicorns and 'Hello Kitties'.



Or that annoying 'pink equals' sign that's 'gone viral' on Facebook too for that matter.



If gay advocates want to do away with the 'bigoted' stereotypes about gays being feminie lispy men who watch Glee and are good at interior decorating - then how the hell do they expect to market their cause to the mainstream? You think that a typical straight male who likes football, cars, and chasing women - is going to want to associate with a 'cause' that uses logos that look like they were cut out of some 5-year old girls' coloring book?

No wonder you guys get stereotyped - you do it to yourself.

 

As long as they flash a perversion of the Marine flagraising on Iwo Jima, they might as well title it with a perversion of the USMC motto:

SEMPER FRUITIS

Please, explain how it is "feminine". (I think that is mostly a perception.)

Also, most reasonable people realize and understand that 'feminine' is not necessarily synonymous with 'weak'.

"Why do Christians hate so many people"?

Both questions are equally valid and meaningful.

My question is, how are gays helping to erase the 'feminine lispy stereotypes' by using a rainbow flag, or pink equals sign?

Why don't they use placards that feature, uh, say 2 gay ex-marines hugging, or 2 gay ex-football players or MMA fighters? If you don't want to perpetuate the stereotypes, why do you use logos and slogans that perpetuate the stereotypes?

You do your marketing, I'll keep in mind what that flag actually stands for; it fits.

 

And if they did that, they'd turn off everybody else. I think those ideas are actually worse -- imagine them using hugging marines -- would it not imply that they were trying to convert the Marines, or the MMA or Football?

I like the blue equal better, it's not a good color scheme to have red and pink -- not enough contrast.

As for the flag -- what about a rainbow is feminine? The norse gods travelled to earth on Bifrost, which was a rainbow. I suppose Thor was "feminine" wasn't he?

 

It's "in your face" rather than "shooting themselves in the foot." It's a test to see how far they've gone and how much farther they can go. Don't try to argue with these people as if they believe they have to democratically persuade people instead of force permissiveness through the chute of a court order. They are skating in an addictive power play and getting away with this gives them a greater sense of power than making any concessions to straights' sensibilities. It's just more proof that they are infantile and demanding, wanting more and more, too childish to accept what they've gained already and build on that. They always give themselves away. Rubbing it in that they don't have to worry about giving themselves a bad name has the effect of humiliating their opponents.

This tactic does work. "Give them enough rope to hang themselves" and they will hang you. Such a false adage is a coward's slogan to avoid fighting back until the noose is around your neck or around any other body part the heterophobes prefer. If we give them an inch and they take a mile, we should not only take the inch back, but we should also put them back a mile away from where they started when we so foolishly gave them that inch.

well gay guys are usually more feminine than straight males and they like alot of things women do lol.

I wish i could find this one video where this store was selling this item called "meggings" , which is just basically leggings for men. they had about 10 guys try on these "meggings" and when they came out they asked each one how they liked them. In that video you could tell who was gay or straight, because the straight guys couldnt wait to simply get the hell out of them and looked embarrassed for even being part of that segment, while the gay guys all "ABSOLUTELY LOVED" the nut hugging wear and would definitely prance around in them in public lol.

nothing against the gay guys, if thats what they want to wear then so be it. but they shouldnt get mad when they act like fairies and then people perceive them as feminine lol. I know some gay guys who, if you didnt know them, you would think were straight, but the vast majority of gay guys have some amount of femininity going on whether it be their walk, lingo, clothing style or een other body movements.

On Iwo Jima, the second wave only survived by hiding behind the bodies of the first wave. My Sergeant Major was on those beach landings and he verified the way it was there.
