Why do skin heads grow beards?

LMAO...well over and actually kicking the arse out of the forties. Everyone knows that, except jumpjet. I mean jmpet. But styles change. I didn't use heated abuse for quite a long time and if you don't do that, you can get away with less chemicals.

mikezila is not a skinhead, i am a veteran. i have naturally curly hair so if i don't keep it near GI, it's all over the place and i look like a mess.

i got tired of cutting myself shaving between Thanksgiving and Christmas (or lazy, you decide), but it just didn't look right to me. i have been known to grow a goatee of mustache now and then. it depends on my mood.

in related news, Disney employees are allowed facial hair now. i guess that's good for OWS chicks-they have one more potential job.

But what's wrong with curly hair? I much prefer it, my hair is wavy and a bit curly but have to straighten it now. The curly styles are a lot more flattering but people think they look messy.



...could you not have it short but still have some hair, which is a bit more aesthetic IMHO, than the really short unflattering razor cut a lot of men seem to favour?

Actually the first skinhead I thought of turned out not to even be a skinhead as you suggested. Here he is and he has dreadlocks, not skin. What a legend, who is Technoviking?

They shave the head hair off. Shaving a beard off requires a bit of bother, so maybe it's about convenience and they just ignore the facial hair and let it do what it wants. Or maybe they are avoiding razor burn.

 

Most skinheads arent associated with hate groups either. Common misconception. The neo Nazi and white supremecists kind of hijacked the term and became what people immediately think of when they hear "skinhead".

The original skinheads listened to reggae. I've met black skinheads. Another poster mentioned the SHARPs. There's skinheads of all shapes, sizes, colors, and ideologies. From racist fascists, to left wing anarchists.
