Why don't they support our economy?

President Trump wants everyone to go back to work, safely that is. The Democrats, Hollywood, and the Main Stream Media not so much. Their reasoning is that they don't want
the virus to spread, no one does. Keeping the economy shut down will do more harm than good.
The Democrats don't want to see our economy better because they know that would help the
President in the election. Some, not all want to see the virus kill more people.
People who hate as much as they do must have very miserable lives.

 

Well they know they no shot at beating Donald unless the states keep their economies closed. It’s a last ditch desperation effort.

 

Who specifically has stated they want to see the virus kill more people?
Who specifically has stated they don’t want our economy better?

 

Well let’s find out.

Democrats if you had two choices:

The virus continues to rage maybe even gets worse and, the economy worsens and more people die but trump loses the election

Or

The virus stops and tails off to very few if any people dying and the economy starts doing well again but trump wins re-election.

Which would you choose?

 

In other words no one has stated such. Amazing you think there are only two options in life.
I want the economy back but I also don’t want to rush things and possibly have a second wave. You think things are bad now, wait till that happens

 

Actually they have. New Yorkers were asked something similar and stated by 60% they’d take the virus.

As far as being two options in life I’m fully aware there are more. But given the confines and context of this conversation those seem like the two relevant options.

Those are people saying THEY themselves would rather get the virus than 4 more yrs of Trump. That is of course very different than the claim that I questioned which was...”Some, not all want to see the virus kill more people.“

 

I'm not sure those are the only two choices Therefore I would like to add a third into the mix:

People on both sides of this issue rediscover their common sense and work together to solve these problems and worry about the election later.

It is undeniable that Democrats tie the collapse of the economy with trumps reelection. They believe they need to do as much damage as possible to America to help them beat trump.

The lockdown is only good for 1 thing. Buying time for our hospitals to prepare. Now that they have, it's time to end the lockdown. If you are scared of getting the virus, shelter in place, maintain social distance, and wear mask and gloves.

Keeping the country locked down is more damaging then the virus. Democrats know this and are trying to keep the lockdown as long and painful as possible.

Democrats want to do Similar lockdown to fight global warming.

 

The Democrats are certainly supporting the "everyone go to walmart" system, but in fairness I'd like to point out The President could undo a good deal of this by himself if he wanted to. He, and the multitude of Republican governors, and mayors across the country have chosen much of the same course of action as the Democrats on this one.

Plus if you think they like it now just wait until the sales tax, and income tax, and social security tax, and property value assessments start coming in from this period. Ladies, and gentlemen I assure you no one in government is going to enjoy that. We've got local conservative talk show hosts here thinking about organizing a property tax protest to get as many people in the county to hold off paying property tax for an entire year (which you can do for a moderate couple hundred bucks penalty without getting any lawyers involved)

If any of you are interested in expressing your displeasure in a meaningful way I'd suggest organizing something similar where you can. That is your chance to make this as painful for politicians as it has been for you. maybe organize 3 days to not buy anything. Find someway to fight as much money as you can leaving your pocket for theirs without severe penalty, and don't forget where you are your local officials are as much if not more to blame for much of it.

Aren't both Democratic and Republican state and local officials doing this?
Aren't they following the suggestions of the President's Task Force?

 

Because you suppose to put family before country. God family country in that order.

 

WRONG. It also buys time, to develop therapies. Learn more. develop a vaccine.

 

It's not the Democrats' fault that the last three Republican Presidents have left a collapsing economy behind them.

 

Had the Republicans had the slightest guts at all, they would have thrown out Trump, and Pense would have been acting in a manor that is somewhat becoming of a president.

We would have locked down IMMEDIATELY and had maybe ten percent of this damage and death. We could have legitimately opened up, without masks perhaps. Without a staged opening. And without losing our souls, talking about sacrificing the elderly and vulnerable, without it being APPETIING to lose only 2 to 3 percent of our children. Alone without their parents. The Republicans have NO GUTS, no compassion and no patriotism. When they say the COUNTRY needs to x and y, they are REALLY saying, I WANT x and y. And if I don't get it, I am willing to commit civil war. THAT is what the right wingers are saying.

 

Did the US support the European economy doing the 2008 recession that we caused?

So the virus is a bigger threat to life on earth then trump. Glad we agree.

I think trump is looking to minimize all death. At a point, the lockdown becomes worse then the virus.

 

If the administration wants to speed the recovery why haven't they come up with alternatives to isolation as a remedy. Where are their good ideas??? Suggestions???. We have absolutely no concept of exactly how many of us are walking around spreading the virus while not being personally affected by it. Until we know who is an asymptomatic carrier of the virus, no one can be considered safe from it.

 

Dems and the left want to destroy the economy anyway. If people get accustomed to living in grinding poverty then there will not be far to go to socialism. That is their ultimate goal.

 

They have another way to support the economy- or should I say their economy.

The "Squad" dingbat has spoken... among others.

"Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., introduced legislation last Friday that would cancel rent and mortgage payments for Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.
The option would be available to all Americans regardless of income or employment status. It also would create a fund for landlords and mortgage holders to cover losses from the canceled payments."

This would not include re-payment, it is a gift of federal money. Nothing like telling people they are entitled to a free life, then giving it to them and sending the bill to others. They are going to "reimburse" the landlords for the lost revenue, then tax them for it to pay the bill. Only a democrat, and a dumb one at that, can conceive of this as rational.

Governor Newsom of California-
Establishes a state fund of $125 million to provide "Virus relief checks" to illegal immigrants.

The same brilliant leader has contracted for 15,000 hotel rooms.... to house the homeless during the epidemic.
Those hotel maids are going to need hazmat gear and pressure washers, among other things.
Guess who will be paying the bills again? California's businesses, of course.

This is the way democrats think these days. I won't bother with the other hundreds of examples, this tells the story.

 

According to the CDC 37,202 Americans have died from the virus they list no deaths from the "lockdown."
