Could be because people don't like to read walls of text and they like to give their opinions as soon as they can. Also lots of people don't like Rush Limbaugh and so being able to comment on how tiny his penis is is very appealing to them. lol
Perhaps it wasn't as well thought out as you thought? I find your threads large on attempts to irritate and incite and short on facts and reflection so I largely avoid them. The thread on penis's was a stirling example though there are plenty of others.

Internet arguments about sexism and double standards are a dime a dozen. Threads that provide a perfect excuse to make fun of Rush Limbaugh's penis size are rare.
