...that the only nation to meet its goals under the Kyoto Protocol despite having not ratified it and (miraculously) not enacting any new taxes or giving any money to the UN.

In 2012 the US emitted 5.3 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide. That is 5.2% down from the 5.6 billion tons emitted in 1997. the Kyoto Protocol called for a 5.2% reduction from the 1997 baseline.

Why is it nobody else could do it? Could the answer be that nobody else genuinely gives a rip?

If nobody else gives a rip, why should the US?

Sweden emitted nearly 9% less CO2 in 2006 than 1990. And the US still has very high emissions per capita, you should still be top ten.

You know! The energy-saving technologies you and other naysayers are too expensive and limiting our freedom. The renewable energy you and other naysayers claim are too expensive and cannot replace fossil fuels.
I'll be awaiting your "thank you" to us "eco-nuts" for helping the US decrease it's carbon footprint by demanding action by the government and private industry.

We are regulated enough. That's why the left has their green agenda. What about cap and trade?

I know we have regulations but the government wants to count our footprints for pete's sake.

Maybe the regulatory commission isn't doing their jobs so well. I don't know.

    "The energy-saving technologies..."

    Taxcutter says:
The EPA makes it difficult to operate energy-saving diesel vehicles in the US.

Beyond that, what are you talking about? Energy costs money. Anything that works worth a hoot gets implemented.

Mass transit works only in niche applications. It doesn't go where you want to go whwn you want to go there.

Why is it that Taxcutter has been called out for being flat wrong on this twice already, in two different threads, and continues to repeat the same lies?

Is Taxcutter incapable of learning from his mistakes? Or is Taxcutter simply incapable of admitting that he can actually make a mistake? Either way, he demonstrates why you just can't trust a single thing he says. He's gonna keep repeating that same lie over and over and over.

And I'm going to keep calling him out on it, too. Every single time.
