I just don't get it. Obamanomics has made a shambles of the economy, obamacare threatens to cause 16,000 new irs agents to be hired and trains 0 new doctors and builds 0 new hospitals, destroying productivity and skyrocketing costs and dozen fo coproate allies such as mcdonalds are able to opt out and dodge the law that fits liek a yoke around most americans.
Why would half the country support a man who protects their interests and the other half support a man who protects their interests?
Because he's not even ahead by 2% unless you completely discount every poll and only accept the results of one.
Because as much as Conservatives and many independants hate Obama, most of them are not really happy about Romney either. Some conservatives say he is not conservative enough, that he will just be a moderate. Other populist conservatives are convinced he will just send even more American jobs overseas, that he only cares about special big business interests. A few Christian conservatives are suspicious because he is a Mormon. Ron Paul supporters are still bitter. And many have had enough with lying and deceipt from politicians, and Romney has flip-flopped on numerous issues, as if he will say anything just to be elected. This election will be determined not by who Americans like more, but by which candidate they hate less.
when carter was running for reelection the polls showed he was ahead of reagan then..and we all know how that worked out..main streeet media always lies in polls for the last 40 years...kinda of a shame that they just cant be honest..being honest and trustworthy doent mean anything in this country anymore
First of all, most polls still show President Obama ahead and everything indicates he still has an edge over Romney. Obviously polls are just polls. Fundamentaly I agree that Obama has been a very poor President. No real foreign policy to speak of. Continued high unemployment and weak growth in the US. No decisive leadership. That being said, I still have to see Romney make a real good case for himself. He is very unclear about what he has to offer.
foreign policy wise he is a million miles ahead of his predecessor already, who set america back 50 years internationally. bearing in mind your last administration called france and germany 'old europe' - france and germany basically are europe, and your country would never have got its independence without the help of france, who also gave you the statue of liberty btw, and whose 'declaration of the rights of man and citizen' inspired your revolution and also formed the basis upon which your declaration of independence was written from, and thats the attitude they got from an entire country, 'cheese eating surrendur monkeys' they were called, disgusting behaviour from elected officials.
It is now 2015 and I think Romney is still in a state of shock on what happened to him on Election Night. He believed those polls so much that he didn't even have a concession speech prepared that night.
