I dare anybody reading the OP to listen to Savage and Rush and not take the word of people who show low charactor and ignorance by demeaning a person they obviously haven't heard.. Nothing more disgusting then talking bad about people but being too lazy to listen.

With the way many of my Brothas and Sistas were raised I wouldn't want anyone in my family to marry them either.

And in this case, as in others, I suspect skin color was used as the last stage of positively being able to identify people with lower, baser, characters and values.

It's not the color as much as the values. Skin color is simply used as a means of identifying those more likely to be screwed up in terms of character and morals.

And White parents are no different than parents of any other color who want their children to avoid the pitfalls of marrying someone of low character and questionable values. And when they send their 18 year old son or daughter away to attend college, it may not be racism behind their advice to their kids not to get serious with a Black person.

If there was a way to further narrow the identification of negative influences I'd want my kids to steer clear of, I would go one step further than Black.

I wouldn't say, no Black kids. Instead I'd be able to say, no one who wears their trousers below their azzes.

I wouldn't say, no White kids. I'd say, no one who deals drugs.

But my offspring already know not to become friendly with gang bangers and drug dealers and members of biker gangs and ex-cons and Muslims and others who would make my children's lives more fraught with danger and represent to them a greater chance for problems and heartbreak.

There are plenty of good and bad or 'problemed' human 'landmines' out there, so, to try to steer them clear of the obvious risks I'd cover the possibility of them hooking up with a poorly raised Black, one whose values are probably lower than my loved one's, the best way I could.

I'd warn them away from any or all Blacks.

That's how I'd see it if I were a White Dad.

Not racism, per se. Just trying to identify and warn my loved ones away from the possibility of being hurt when I can no longer watch over them.

As soon as the Liberals stop pandering to my people and as soon as my people lose their slave mentality and start aiming for the moon in terms of values THAT is when it would be infuriating to see racism on display in America.

Because then it really would be about skin color!

    Right now?

Marrying outside your race is one thing.

    But marrying a Black person?

That can be a be a gamble.

Wait, am I being trolled? I have to be being trolled right now. Is a white guy really acting like a black guy saying racism towards blacks is fine? I have never been trolled so bad

    - - - Updated - - -

I showed numerous examples of Rush Limbaugh being racist. Nothing more disgusting than talking bad about people but being to lazy to read the first page of the thread.

Do I have to talk about yo momma for you to believe I'm Black?

I can and would if it wasn't against the rules.

I am against racism, of course. But, I know that 3 or 4 out of 10 respondents to that poll aren't all hatefully bigoted.

They just look at the situation as they would identifying poisonous snakes.

I can't teach my children about ALL of the dangerous and deadly venomous two legged snakes out there. But if I tell them to avoid the ones which are more likely than average of causing a serious threat to their safety I'd tell them to avoid the Black ones.

Unless my kids can be sure those Black ones are good individuals.

The White ones have their problems too. But, the odds are better that a White snake won't be as problematic.

You may not like it, but you can't deny my rationale.

That's what qualifies as racist? Seriously, not to defend Rush Limbaugh but the video you posted kept repeating loops from the same four episodes and the last one in particular about the word (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) was his tirade against it being commonly used by blacks and some whites when its supposed to be a racist word. Either its racist and you don't use the word or it isn't racist and its acceptable, you can't have it both ways. Unless you think that people should be able to use a racist word......but then that would make you racist. Nice try but fail on the post. He has been on the air for 50 years now 3 hours a day and if that is the best the video can come up with that is really sad.

Every time a conservative see's racism from another member of his he claims its not racist and liberals are just race baiting. No matter how racist the republican is being, to call him a racist means you are a "race baiter" in the eyes of the GOP. What great amazing logic you guys use.

There are some fascist elements to be sure. The corporate takeover of our government is almost as complete as the corporate takeover of our military.

To be fair to the bigoted shock jocks, they need to make a buck, too. There isn't any money in trying to be a calming influence. Either for the jock or for his network.

The only racist thing I saw was the Chinese talk. The "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)" one was passed off by lefties several times now but they never put the context in. He was specifically complaining about how it was acceptable for some people to use it and not others. His view was that either a word is off limits or its ok for everyone to use. If mocking the Chinese language is the best they have after 50 years on the air that is just pathetic.

The big name right-wing talk show hosts are garbage. Not to say that all right-wing hosts are, but it's not as easy to find one with class as you would think, considering that the right is supposed to be the "moral" bunch. The only big name rightie on the air that I can stand is Bill O'Reilly, because, every so often, Bill can have moments of clarity where he's actually being sensible. Hannity is a talking anus who defecates all over you while waving an American flag, Michael Savage is a bitter raving lunatic and Glenn Beck is...well...he's a little special and we're all very proud of him.

If you're looking for honesty, don't look to people whose job is to entertain you and say things you agree with and that confirm your biases. When Jon Stewart, a comedy show host, is more honest than people who claim to tell it like it is, you know you're being hoodwinked.

But confirmation bias is powerful and Rush wields it like Excaliber. In that respect, he is very good at what he does but it doesn't mean he's not still full of more crap than a port-o-potty at Woodstock.

That comment one member posted about Howard Stern saying nuke all the arabs was unbelievable. I had never heard that one. What a colossal a__hole.There was a GOP think tank that actually advocated nuking Iraq. Monica Crowley was a member and that Iran-Contra figure Woolsey. A racist thug like Michael Savage probably gets no more than 12 listeners daily, but because we have a Fascist State in the U.S., where all the media is owned by 5 or 6 companies, they can create any bogus ratings report or poll that Big Brother wants to project on to the public mind, and is created specifically for mass consumption. One radio host noted in disgust after 9/11, Bush got a 90% approval rating in a poll. Well, if you believe that such a poll was created out of anything other than WHOLE CLOTH, you are kidding yourself about WHO RUNS THE MEDIA, and what Americans really think, as months before during his inauguration onlookers were pelting the motorcade with tomatoes after the OBVIOUSLY FIXED 2000 election.

It's called willful ignorance. That is pretending to believe something that an honest review of the evidence would tell you is not so. Only the most honest people would admit to their own shortcomings but the internet makes it way too easy to be dishonest. That is why I usually ignore them. Feeding trolls is a waste of valuable time.

You have only mentioned entertainers on the fringe who pander to the deviant tastes of degenerate wacko birds. They are titillated by the demeaning of minorities. Presumably, it is a device intended to stimulate a modicum of self-esteem.

I do not descry bigotry in the legitimate, mainstream media.

I voted for the last option but I would say that the second to last option would be worth voting for too. I do believe that the media is one way that the rich masses try to subjugate the rest of us. I believe that they try to use it to influence everyone else. I think it works to a large extent as well but there are some people who refuse to let what the media says condition what they believe and such.

But anyway, I hate racist jokes in the media. I believe that political correctness, while it can go overboard sometimes, is appropriate for the most part when it comes to issues of race. In fact, I can't think of a situation in which not being politically correct regarding race would be justified. Racial slurs and such should not be used in the media. It is bigoted and hateful. And this is coming from someone who is white which means I am not a minority.
