Unlike the person who cited Hannity-Hannity doesn't advocate police or private citizens being disarmed

You can use that sort of thing.

I would say pepper spray is probably more effective than this because it's liquid and it's easier to deploy

I would still have a lethal weapon as well. I haven't encountered any downsides.

Yeah it does. In fact that's exactly what it means. That's the whole point to the second amendment. It isn't for hunting or self-defense it is so we can shoot and kill officials if we have to. We must be evenly matched that is how liberties are preserved.

Also you can totally own a fire truck. It's a vehicle you can own a vehicle it's legal. In fact I know someone that owns a fire truck he's not a fireman. Yeah it's a 1950s model international harvester that He restored. He even drives it.

Where is I don't own a fire truck I certainly could.

It is interesting how many on the left view the police. ON one hand, they see the police as mentally and morally superior to honest citizens when it comes to being trusted to possess firearms. But when the police act in many situations where one can not take time to actually do anything other than react quickly, the same side that wants to limit legal gun ownership to the police, are often the first group to condemn the police and demand that they act perfectly as if they had 20/20 hindsight

The real irony is that lawful gun owners are more law abiding than police

I think the police killed unarmed black man trope is largely used by the media dude drive division. It's funded by the government and they have the biggest interest in dividing us.

The thing is way too bulky to conceal without winter clothing on and it's also ridiculously expensive for what it is..... Like more expensive than the average handgun which is half the size of it.

If someone wants to use it sure but in lead and gunpowder do I trust.

it's designed to defend against unarmed assailants. or poorly prepared armed ones by those afraid or unable to have a firearm. It's akin to nunchaku or a baton.

I'm going to pull up my CO2 paintball gun and shoot you with a pepper ball......

Okay, I'm going to pull up my gunpowder fired weapon and shoot you with a piece of lead....

Did you know that 99% of firefighters never see a serious fire? Its mostly medical emergencies. Its still a good idea to know CPR.

There is no prohibition for owning a fire truck.I have a friend, a pub owner in Cudahy wis has a fully functional 1950's era fire truck...drives it in local parades and in pub crawls, in hot summers sets up huge shower spray for children.
The second Amendment protects a right; but it doesn't make the carrying of firearm s. In fact, one of the early drafts had a specific exemption from having to own a weapon for militia service for conscientious objectors.
I would never presume to tell someone what they should carry for self defence, thought I am always will to provide m y opinion on the options.
I have trained and still Tra in in martial arts forover 60 years and can handlemost confrontations without seriously harming someonn, but I EDc a tactical pen, a knife, and aone of my suit of carry guns; This affords me to engage with proportion response as Any situation escalates, with the gun as something as a last resort, though I havesfopped a few situation with onewithout firing a shot. No matter absre I am I am armed with something. I have fkund my most effective weapons is my mouth; I have developed exceptional de-escalation skills. But, in that they aren't effective, I have what I need for incrrasing levels of threat. My tools for that are carefully selected (for me). While fun and I commend innovation, it not something I'd chose to carry.

    Why not?
Same reason you don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
