Why would Trump float Tulsi Gabbards name as a VP pick if he was pro gun?

so here is the short list of VP picks for Trump. What I want to know is how in hell could anyone pro gun want Gabbard as a VP? This woman has been a staunch supporter of banning commonly owned guns and a federal gun registry. There is absolutely no way a pro gun individual would go for this.

Coming from a former president who unilaterally bypassed congress to make Americas first ever confiscation or destruction order of private owned property and gun item (the bump stock ban). Has said he’s open to discussing banning silencers, and favored taking guns first and due process second (red flag laws). I suppose I am not surprised in the least of bit. But for some odd reason gun advocates think he’s a saving grace to guns.

I have said multiple times that I will not side on this presidential race because I dislike them all. But if he put Gabbard in as VP…. This may change view points all together

On a bigger issue, and that is the US going to war, both Donald Trump
and Tulsi Gabbard are basically opposed, that is, would go to war only
to actually defend the US or if there was a very good reason.

Gun Control is a very complex issue and in total cost or number of people killed
is also a less important issue.

Some regulations could still maintain a lot of the defensive value of guns
while making them ineffective for the headline mass shootings, such as
there are single shot pistols - a good deterrent if to take an extreme case -
every member of the public had one, and if the murderer also had only
    one shot.

The situation is complex with many possible options.

I can see how single shot pistols give criminals an advantage. How would they make innocent people safer?

Trump may very well be the person making that argument given the people he is rubbing elbows with along with his history

While he is nothing more than a Democrat in Reps clothing, he is the lesser of evils on this issue.

There are more, but they don't have the numbers to even participate in debates. Reminds me of the South Park episode where they had to vote for a giant dousch or a turd sandwich.

Gun control postulates that a woman, raped and strangled with her pantyhose, is somehow a morally superior condition than that same woman explaining to a police officer how that hole got in the head of her attempted rapist.

When was the last time you heard Gabbard's position on gun ownership?

It appears she had an epiphany. She could be blowing smoke up our asses, but why go through that much trouble to do it?

In a crowd situation the majority of good people would have lots of shots and the bad person only one.

I also had a plan that the single shot pistols would only hold rim fire bullets.

But the main factor in my post was I wrote it before I noticed I'd posted in the
gun control section and didn't mean to.

how many gunfights have you studied and why would anyone want to handicap honest citizens. Do you think someone willing to commit mass murder is going to worry about violating such a moronic gun control law?

the entire purpose of gun control is to actually make honest citizens more helpless-be it in the face of violent criminals or control freak politicians-both groups being major supporters of the leftwing anti gun agenda

How many home invasions and car jackings have you seen with one attacker that stands still for the defender to win with one shot.

Ideas like this are why walking around in the UK with a butter knife in your pocket is illegal.

a guy I had met on another chat board-a Canadian Citizen, took a job in cincinnati with one of the big insurance companies. He also was studying to pass a British barrister exam-something he could take as a canadian citizen (smart guy he ranked ahead of Obama in the same class at Harvard). After working in Cincinnati for a couple years, he obtained his license and took a job with Lloyd's of london-a firm he had once worked for as a solicitor. He met me to say goodbye and gave me a couple small knives. They were smaller than the EDC knife I constantly have on me-he told me those two 3" knives were illegal in London since the blade LOCKED. I gave him a british legal knife-it didn't lock. that's the sort of idiocy the anti gun movement wants to foist on us here

Well I mean everyone knows that when criminals go out to murder and rape people in the UK they always make sure their knife doesn't lock open.

Your comment about England reminded me of this quote. I love this quote.

@Turtledude do you know the history of this quote? Sounds like you are an Englishman so I’m curious. Here’s a hint, he was no fan of America

The fact he said this is testament to the right to bear arms.
