Why?

Why was the "say something nice about whoopi" thread relegated to off topic chat? She is an active voice in political matters on a national level.

 

This is an outrage.

 

She is not a politician, is she? The forum is 'Political Opinions And Beliefs'. A thread about a non politician, or a thread about a politician that is not related in any way to politics is off topic.

 

So the sarcastic "say something nice about north korea", and "say something nice about george soros" was totally acceptable?

Do not patronize me child. If you have something of merit to contribute to this issue please submit now, otherwise cease the low content posting please.

 

A political opinion or belief now has to pertain to a specific politician? Will you please stop this low content and irrelevant posting. Whoopi Goldberg is an active political voice and has recently challenged Ms Bachman, I wish whoever moved this thread would apologise.

 

Stop with the insults, remember who you are talking to.

If I see another thread of yours I think it not relevant to the forum it is posted, it will be moved also. End of story.

 

What insults? I have inquired about other threads which were obviously sarcastic OP's about my "say something nice" thoughts. Can you address this? I am perfectly aware of who I am posting to......the most excellent members of these most excellent fora, who else? If you moved the thread which is most definately relevant to todays political spectrum why dont you apologise for this outlandish act.

 

I am a moderator and I agree with Mak. This was only a question and non related to "political opinions and beliefs".

It doesn't matter who moved the thread. We moderators make these moves all the time. If it is better suited under another form, we move them to fit the threads.

An active political voice doesn't necessarily convey political credibility and therefore it is off topic. For instance, Charlie Sheen spouts off about politics from time to time but I wouldn't consider him to be remotely credible.

 

Why were sarcastic "say something nice" threads allowed to prevail yet the first one to be moved happen to be about Whoopi Goldberg? A black political activist.

 

I observe the vast majority of threads in the political opinions and beliefs board which fit the same criteria. If there is a point to your post please elaborate.

Not recognised by who? You? She is a most recognised activist and well known voice in american and south african politics. Simply because you refuse to recognise black women does not mean she is not recognised.

I also suppose this is not sarcastic? Most of the MODs seem to not mind the say something nice threads. Coincidence how the first one to be moved is about whoopi, a black women.

 

I see rascist and ignorant posting is what is most significant here. I pray that a warm hearted fair minded authority intervenes here and sets this unfortunate issue straight.

I don't know the posting history of Felix. Until he made comments about race I thought both he and Mak made slightly off color comments to each other with Felix making good points at first, and then Mak winning the last round. Me myself and eye [sic] (to be official and boneified' we gotta have three judges) score it Felix 2 Mak 1 in the first round. Second round was Felix 1 Mak 2. Third round the judge (me) scores the bout Mak 3 Felix 0, and the winner is Mak by unanimous decision!! ****Clap*** clap*** *cat call*** cat call* and all that.... Besides Mr Felix both Ms Freedom and Mak are far more beautiful than you are, and my door don't swing that way anyway
