The Bundy protestors in Nevada devised the 'strategy' of hiding behind a human shield of women. It worked, but they had no guarantees that it would, hence, were willing to risk the lives of women for their cattle, which are probably interchangeable to them. So, do you think tax-evaders and other anti-government types will be using this strategy when the feds come after them?
Left wing demonstrations in the U.S. always involve women. What about the Bundy protestors is considered to be unique?
Unless 'their' women were haltered like the cattle, I'm going to assume they had free will on the matter. Perhaps it was a woman who came up with the strategy in the first place. In fact, I think that likely, since few men would think of it, given our culture's gender conditioning to do the reverse. Perhaps we shouldn't assume the men did all the planning and the women were just going to meekly do what they were told.
because women shield was the protestors actual strategy figures a bunch of draft dodging paramilitary teamongers would use such a strategy
Women were in the crowd but that does not mean they were used as shields. Ranch women are a tough bunch and most of them would kick the ass of these wimpy jack boot thug government boys.
The cattle ranchers have a much more legitimate claim to the land - they're actually putting it into production. The Feds just come along and declare it theirs. Plus, Federal acquisition of land is a massive problem. Just look at it on a map:
That land would still be Mexico if the fed didn't just come along and go to war for it. After the Mexican cession it became federal land which they largely kept except for the parts they privatized. Ranchers squatting Mexico land didn't have any right until we took it
