There is already enough diversity within each ethnicity without us needing anymore.

And there is a phenomena called outbreeding depression. Genetic diversity is not always a good thing, it can sometimes be very bad.

What happens when a horse has sex with a donkey? If genetic diversity is so good, why is the resulting mule sterile?

First of all, horses and donkeys are different species. There is only one living species of human. Secondly, humans have been interbreeding for millennia and don't have near the specialization that the switchgrass in the example had. There is no isolated human population in the world. As for Mr Carleton Coon, his theories on the origin of race have been pretty much discredited by modern genetic studies of human populations.

Though I just realized, as I was reading the post you linked to, is that the whole genetic argument is a crock anyway. Most of what you and others have been arguing as reasons that "races" shouldn't mix are based on culture/environment not genetics. The average wage figures you showed can easily be explained by environment. We humans have overcame our genetics many times over with our culture and technology. Is your skin too light to block UV rays effectively? Put on some suntan lotion. Is your skin too dark to process vitamin D efficiently in polar latitudes? Take vitamin supplements. Not strong enough or fast enough? Work out more. Not good at math? Study harder or get a calculator. People like you totally ignore the affects of culture on the human population, however if you still want to debate genetics, I'm more than willing.

    Wow! Nice argument.

Genetically prone to anti-social behavior? = just be more nice.
Dyslexic? = just freking read harder.
Low IQ and working memory? = study harder.

I can see your planning working out beautifully.

As someone who has a family member who is dyslexic, I find your post offensive. This person I know has worked hard to overcome her dyslexia. She has battled an uncaring system, suffered the taunts of peers, and had to educate prejudiced teachers. She has not only succeeded graduating high school early but went on to college. So don't insinuate that I would suggest that she should "just freking read harder".

As for the other "examples", they can be overcome by therapy and education. Now I am not suggesting that 100% of them will be 100% "normal" (whatever that is). What I am saying is that many can lead productive and meaningful lives if they are given the right environment. Next you'll be telling me that a man with no legs below the knees can become an Olympic runner.

While I thank you for the compliment (even if it was sarcasm), I think I'll let the other members of this forum decide for themselves if I insinuated any of the things you suggested.

And to those who noticed, the last line should of my last post should have been "Next you'll be telling me that a man with no legs below the knees can't become an Olympic runner." Didn't catch it until it was too late to make an edit.

So let me summarize your argument:

"We shouldn't be concerned about the degeneration of the white gene pool because people with genetic disorders and undesirable predilections can still lead meaningful lives (whatever that means)."

    Is that it?

Having a white skin is only a genetic disorder in equatorial regions, where the melanin levels are not protective.

We're talking about genetics, not ignorant catchphrases based on willful misunderstandings.

White doesn't mean "having white skin", it refers to the European origin genetic cluster.

But of course, you know that.

What I am saying is that we shouldn't be concerned about the degeneration of the white gene pool because:

    1. The proof that certain races are genetically inferior compared to others is tenuous at best.
    2. The mixing of genes makes a species stronger.
    3. Environment has more influence on our personalities and behavior than genetics.

Why do certain races continue to fail at adapting to our modern, knowledge based society?

When will excuse factories like yourself stop ignoring the facts and coincidences that point to what a majority of people already believe?

Tell that to mixed race people looking for bone marrow donors. Being African (or even part African) also greatly increases one's chances of contracting AIDS, sickle cell disease, and a host of other for the most part "black only" diseases.

Go smoke your peace pipe somewhere else...
