I don't agree that being female gives anyone the right to dictate other females' choice of clothing. Nevertheless, my post was just meant as a snarky and half-arsed remark refering to her using that same argument on me in a previous discussion. :)

I don't know, man. To me, "glamorous" is associated with Cinderella-like elegance and not with showing skin.

While you're on the right track B, I would suggest that the issue women fight against is not that she is glamorous wearing the astronaut suit (although I think it's really cool and would jump at the opportunity to try it on for the hell of it) but the perception that a female astronaut cannot be glamorous... when she goes home and changes. Only models and pin ups are glamorous... not female astronauts which is total bullshit.

Glamourosity (lol, is that a word?) is in the eye of the beholder. Who uses that word anyways? I have never looked at anything and thought "oh, that's glamorous!"

    Sounds sort of gay. :p

When men start taking action in HR orgs by recognizing they are being sexually harassed by women who dress provocatively at work, the sooner this mess will sort itself out.

Some of us care about women's rights? I also visit threads dealing with race, or religion. I like to know what's going on, and being debated these days. It really should not bother you. I absolutely welcome straight posters in the LBGTQ subforum threads.

Which sounds to me like 'entitled, spoiled, pretentious, princess syndrome.'

To each their own I spose.

it doesn't, it was merely a question that many people answered after god knows how long it's been sitting there...

    here's my favourite answer

    lol glamourosity... sounds like monstrosity

Yeah the only time I've ever looked at something and thought oh how glamorous is.... never :D

Actually the more I think about it the word glamorous is usually reserved for something flashy that does not fall in my taste.

Words I usually think of is gorgeous, lovely, beautiful, stunning, sexy, attractive, stylish, classy, smart...

For purposes of getting back to the topic, I agree with you. But being a CEO is not the aim of the topic.

We have seen one or more men beat up on Raquel Welch who once was famous for her beauty. Was she glamorous though? She was so pretty I am sure at times she was, at times she was not. The Video supplied hinted at this topic and was intended so people did not take it or themselves so serious. And of course was not intended to draw hateful remarks made against Raquel.

Loren was also one of my favorites in my youth. People might forget how old she is now. About her personality, for me, it was what personality the director told her to have. Off screen I know little about the woman. She has a right to be glamorous. Actually any woman can try and those that make it, super. Glamour never defines a woman. Like her shoes, she can remove it and all that rot.

exactly, she had a personality ......wait for it.... off screen, more than just beautiful... plenty of beautiful women in the world, I'm impressed when they are not bound by their beauty... Amal Clooney classic example

I don't know how you figured that out, so will just take your word. Even Clooney though I know her face due to the marriage to her husband, is an unknown to me as to her personality. Her husband may not be as nice as he seems on screen.

I admit that I recall Sophia as a very young actress. I have not kept up with foreign actresses. If she still has money, she can afford to have a lot of grace. She attained fame that most women never will. Amal has an interesting job. No, you had little to tell me about Welch but much about Sophia and Amal. Not bad at all.

You know I think Robert that for most people the biggest issue is when many of these beautiful women, parading scantily in front of the world neglect character in favour of beauty.

I have had personal contact with so few Actresses I refuse to judge all by the few. They want to judge them only by exterior schemes. I was trying to have a bit of fun with this topic and sadly it is leaking out of the bottom of the container due to some of the crude things said by some of the men.

No, you obviously did not "know precisely what she said" since your reading comprehension was below the level of someone (me) who is not even a native English speaker.

"My type"? Interesting. Care to PM me to have a conversation about this? I am actually serious; ler's do it. Being able to conclude someone's "type" from a post about shoes must mean you are some heavy intellect, high-brow genius.

For instance, I met an Actress as she sat next to me in a theater in Fremont, CA Julie Pinson was nudging me in my ribs and when i looked at her, she is very pretty. She then told me to say hello to her father, next to her. Her father I knew a bit from his work. She and I chatted a bit and we watched Titanic. My own daughter was next to me on that fine evening.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julie_Pinson

I forget this actress name but she was in CA from England. She signed her name on a buddy's arm and probably on mine. She asked me to come to see her at San Francisco. I happened to be racing an English made car that day and she happened to wander next to my car to engage in chatting. She said a movie she was in was going to premier in SF.

Why act as if I went at you personally? Why did you need to do that? I did not say you were upsetting the topic. I said it was some men. Sophia was very stacked. So if it was boobs, I would have told you it is.

Because of this whinge vvv, why complain about people giving their honest opinions unless the purpose of the thread were as you said... just for fun... in which case I shouldn't be here.
