Well, there is the rule re US Presidential candidates that no one can win, whose surname ends with a vowel. ('Y' doesn't count, I assume.)

But if the Democrats are smart, they'll find someone like Corey Booker -- maybe even try a Fusion ticket with a liberalish Republican like Jeff Flake as VP.

There are 400 people that think they can "destroy" Trump, I am so curious to see who runs against him

    Dear Republican Jesus,

Please let Michael Avenatti win the Democratic nomination for President for 2020.

    In Donald's name,

    Amen.

I didn't use the word republican to be synonymous with a develop mentally delayed person.

Jeez, you guys must be insecure; semantics in this forum is outside intellectual rigour.

Nobody will as is the nature of an incumbent President seeking re-election.

    So you're curious? Bi-curious?

Hmmm . . . yes, because all those highly experienced, high profile, upper level politicians Right and Left that Trump EASILY plowed through in 2015 and 2016 are NOTHING compared to the mighty Michael Avenatti with his ZERO meaningful national level experience and absolutely no leadership or management history. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

Sanders is the most popular politician in America, Medicare for All polls incredibly well, and DSA membership is skyrocketing. It's obvious that going farther left will energize voters and inspire a much larger turnout than the same milquetoast centrist bullshit. People want someone to get excited about.

There may be something in what you say. This was certainly the experience in the UK, when Jeremy Corbyn became leader of the Labour Party.

Sanders is a very decent man, an old-fashioned New Dealer, and someone the loathesome Social Justice Warriors ought to be uncomfortable with. So if the Democrats do go Left, I hope they nominate him.

I live in the midwest. My choices in candidates will inevitably be between a war criminal and a child molester.
