The people vote. Trump comes out the victor. Then comes January, and the EC real vote is counted. The EC represents the people and almost always votes the same way as the people. Almost always. Part of the EC, it is suggested, is to ensure that the people have not been affected by bad candidates; candidates that intimidate or otherwise propose harmful effects on others. It has certainly been suggested by many that Trump fits into this category. Would the EC contemplate overturning the will of the people if Trump won the majority? This election certainly seems unique, and I think the EC could take the opportunity if it presented itself, but perhaps that could mean the start of the end of the EC, as a backlash from the people could ensue.
AJ, you have been all in from the start. If Trump wins you really will have my sympathy. Should I send the card to Montreal or Mexico DF?
They would have to if Trump wins big. But if things go down to the wire then they'll probably go for Hillary -- since she's the "safe" option.
They also did it three times in the 19th century; the 2000 election is probably more relevant of course.
Looks like the card is on it's way. So the EC will go with the will of the people, especially in light of Hillary conceding, or does anyone believe they could make a change?
Hillary is still under investigation and she has no power now that she's been defeated. I wonder how long it'll be until her rat cronies sing to save themselves in her SoS pay to play scam.
That will happen quickly if a grand jury ever starts to investigate the Clintons. Their closest aides will be running to catch the immunity express before it leaves the station.
Here's the bet. http://www.politicalforum.com/elect...ing-my-forum-membership-election-outcome.html I can't believe I'm saying this but I comend him for keeping his word.
