Trump certainly gives the impression of not caring about the details. I think that the daily grind of being president, and the work that he would have to put into it, will wear him down (if he wins).

Trump offered the VP spot to Kasich on the basis he would be the most powerful VP in history. I suspect he offered the same or more to Pence.

I reckon that Trump does not really want to be president. He loves being loved too much for that, and having most of the country hate him (which happens to all presidents from time to time, to a greater or lesser degree) will not be very nice for such a narcissist. And he will want to get back to running his businesses.

I think that what Trump really wants is to WIN the presidency (which will be the biggest ego stroke he could ever get) then he would delegate much of the real work to Pence, just enjoying the high-profile / easy / attractive work for himself. And quite possibly, having won and before his disapproval ratings get too high, resign and hand over to Pence. He might have even promised this to Pence.

He clearly doesn't care enough about the job to be bothered with learning about it.

He's Sarah Palin with an orange combover.

As soon as the TV cameras left, Sarah was too bored and too lazy to be bothered with something so mundane as doing her job.

Trump would last more than one term, I honestly think he would try to be President-For-Life.

The idea that a total ego/megalo-maniac is going to get "bored" with the most powerful position on Earth would be just wishful thinking on the part. of everyone else on the planet.

    "He wont top 20%!"
    "He wont top 30%!"

Trump's promises include war crimes and violations of the Constitution. The first time he did either both parties would be tripping over each other to get him impeached. He probably wouldn't last a full year.

We should never have to find out.

If we vote him in...we deserve whatever we get!

He is the most unqualified candidate ever...running against what can be argued is the MOST qualified candidate.

There's a high probability that you are right.. Trump might pull a Palin and quit halfway thru..

BTW, did you see she is no comparing herself and her suffering to Gabby Gifford?

Yeah..most billionaires get there by not paying attention to details. He should used your method and became an anonymous internet poster instead of a billionaire presidential candidate with a supernodel wife.

Lest we forget that she is qualified to start wars and end them badly, qualified to let ISIS become a monster, qualified to accept horrible agreements allowing Iran to get nuclear weapons and China to steal millions of jobs, qualified to rack up $20 trillion national debt that she won't pay but we will, qualified to do the bidding of the top 1%, her donors, lobbyists, special interests, qualified to create a revolving door between her private organization and the State department and set up a pay to play corrupt scheme.

PS You must be a McCain voter if qualification is your thing. McCain ran against a totally unqualified community organizer but somehow the libs did not care then. Now, suddenly, it's all about experience. Yeah, right...

Um..... perhaps you haven't been paying attention.

Of course, he hid his financials. Most of his billions are imaginary, just as his pledge to self fund his campaign were.

But he did brag repeatedly about how he knows how the system works because he knows how to buy politicians. But when one of them solicited a contribution to make in investigation of his fraudulant "University" go away, he got caught trying to hide it in a pretty amateurish and bush league way.

He never had done any of these things. He got the GOP nomination by being the biggest single vote getter in a crowded field. Because primary delegates are not awarded proportionately he wound up with a majority of delegates.

He only got 41% of the actual GOP vote.

He has never topped 50% on any but a couple of outlier polls.

And he is clearly very bored and easily distracted. He knows nothing about government, policy, history or politics. Of course, this doesn't matter to his fans, most of them are too. They just seem to like an autoritarian blowviating little bully. Because they seem to think chest beating makes a great leader.

Yep you're right. I remember that too, "when the field winnows" he will start losing state after state, according to the media and liberal blowhards. That worked just as well as all their other predictions. :D

I am surprised that you are so impressed with Trump.

Melania has little education .. and a passive temperament.. She won't be helpful to Trump as FLOTUS and I seriously doubt she could run the WH.

If Trump loses, he'll blame her and the media.. and probably dump her.

I was not one of them. By the time the field started winnowning, it was clear that the GOP was leaderless and had abandoned itself to its lunatic fringe.

Perhaps in the corridors of power, the GOP decided, after the last two elections, to flush the virus by letting it have its way.

The radical right wing fringe propelled the GOP primaries, electing a marginal cartoon character of a candidate with a solid minority of party support.

    The big donors stayed away.

Prominent Republicans avoided their own convention.

Few have endorsed. much less campaigned for, the Republican nominee.

But the lunatic fringe has been true to form.

They got their ideal candidate. Sarah Palin in trousers A marginal, celebrity grubbing wannabe who is little more than fodder for tabloids. A man with no experience or gavitas. A man who speaks like a locker room bully, and who openly panders to bigots and ignoramuses.

The man is an embarrassment to the Repubican party, A walking, bellowing symbol of its dysfunction.

And he is a disgrace to the United States of America

The reasons why Trump has ALREADY LOST.

Nobody (who possesses a brain cell) seriously thinks he stands a prayer of actually winning.

The President needs a woman who is strong and smart to privately call BS on him when he's running amok.. Melania is very pretty, but that's not enough.. and there's no way she could manage the WH social calendar or the duties of first lady.

I didn't say you should "disrespect" her.. I said she can't fulfill the role.

Not sure which banana republic you hail from but in the US the WH is run by the Chief Usher not the First Lady. I'm sure there are FL's that have been more demanding than others but thier input is not needed.

Now your saying any unmarried person couldn't be president? Hillarys pretty close to being disqualified under those pretenses. Be careful.

Absolutely it is needed.. and all first ladies have been strong and educated. Can you compare Melania Trump to Pat Nixon, Nancy Reagan, Jackie Kennedy, Mamie Eisenhower, Eleanor Roosevelt, Barbara Bush, Roslyn Carter?

The Presidency is a tough job.. he needs a true friend and confidant.

And he was not elected to the US Senate?

Trump would be right at home in the oval office. Think of him golfing with world leaders and judging beauty contests all year long. Meanwhile the VP runs the country and reports every morning at 0600 sharp. I suspect he'd be much like Teddy Roosevelt who was an alpha male as well.

    Trump's motto: Delegate, delegate, delate!
