A funny thing happened last night..Romney lost in the deep south where between 60-and 80 % disapprove of his religion.
Newt claims victory saying the so called winner finished 3rd place.
Santorum wins where he was supposed too and then suddenly the press goes nuts for him.

    But..
Like I have said all along..AWAY from the evangelical base NEITHER gets ANY support.

2 states...SAY it out loud 2 states.. a 10 delegate win for Santorum.
    He's on his way ..
A guy who voted to support unions won in the deep south.
A guy who voted to give himself a pay raise 3 times AFTER he said he wouldn't.
A guy who set records for personal ear marks and get along votes.
A guy who supported Spector and Gun control.
A guy who owns 6 properties and makes over $ 900,000 per year as a consultant?
A guy who was pro choice before he ran for office.
A guy who supported mandates..but said he NEVER did.

    This WON in the South...??
Along with Newt who was FORCED by others not from the south to resign because he led the party to ruin ?

    THANK GOD for REALITY...

    Hawaii and the American Samoa.
Places where HONESTY and truth prevail over a religion.

So Reminder.. Santorum was up 10 delegates after last night? ( play along )

This morning he lost BIG time.

    American Samoa
Romney won 9 of 12 delegates.

    Hawaii..
    Romney won 45% of the vote..PAUL GOT 18 % !!
Newt got 11 % and Rick 25% add them together now grasshopper...

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/14/hawaii-caucus-2012-results-map_n_1342591.html

    Romney got 9 delegates .
    Santorum got 4 delegates.
newt got 0 delegates ( THAT MEANS ZERO as in NADA )
Paul got 1 delegate ( so far he should pick up more..won Big Island by like 12 votes )
    END.

So doing SIMPLE UN FUZZY MATH
    4 elections last night.
    2 won by Santorum
    2 won by Romney

18 over all delegates for Romney
    14 for Santorum.

    4 delegate win For Romney..

this according to New York times

    494 For Romney
    254 For Santorum.
    131 For newt
    48 For Paul

    now PR votes this Sunday..
Santorum flew down because its now important ?

    http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politic...ys-delegate-lead-or-spring-santorum-surprise/

That makes Sunday’s primary in Puerto Rico more important than you might think. Twenty-three delegates will be up for grabs when voters in the island commonwealth head to the polls this weekend, nearly as many as there were in more publicized battles in Michigan – 30 – and Arizona – 29.

Of the commonwealth’s 23 delegates on offer, 20 will go to the candidate who wins more than 50 percent of Sunday’s vote. That leaves three super delegates left and two have already endorsed Romney, including Puerto Rico Gov. Luis Fortuno, with the third one backing Gingrich. If no candidate wins a majority of the vote, the delegates will be allocated proportionally.

“Even though Governor Fortuño endorsed Romney, and many believe that it would be easy for him to get the 23 delegates, it may not necessarily be the case,” Fernandez said. “I have heard of Democrats, many within the Popular Democratic Party [commonwealth advocates] in Puerto Rico mobilizing their people to vote for Santorum or against Romney.

    END.

So not only is Romney fighting against Republicans ..he is also against Democrats ..just like down south.

Any Santorum win like this is tainted...and GARBAGE.
I really hope the Republicans get the heads out of their sheep butt and fix this situation.

Any how 2-2 with a delegate win is better than FOX portrays..
After Sunday it will be better...
PR. also does not rely on religion to determine their elections.

My god you're one of the biggest fanboys I've seen so far!

Do you really think that if Gingrich dropped out most of his support would go to Romney? Romney isn't winning on his own merits, just on the split vote. It benefits him having them both in the competition (wouldn't be surprising if he was paying them). But even if all candidates stay till the convention and he doesn't get a majority it's very, very bad for him...

As Romney himself said, a brokered convention will only help Obama.

That your opinion, not what was said by those who voted..

They can try and cover up religious bigotry but after the facts on Santorum and newt have been exposed they still supported GARBAGE over political integrity and party.

There is NOTHING ROMNEY can do about it..they wont vote for a Mormon unless forced too.
Eating grits and campaigning wont change a thing..

Over 54 % said Romney wasn't conservative enough...
Yet he doesn't share Santorum's big government spending record..voting for personal pay raises after saying No..and supporting Unions.

I bet 10,000 credits they dont know Santorum only switched from pro choice to pro life because of his area was the most anti abortion in the region.
He was for mandates in HC before..FACT..

    What remains as Conservative issue # 1 for over 45 % ???

    Religion.

That and the fact Rick was trailing by 4-8 pts the day before DEMOCRATS voted for him...
The south got played by Democrats..and they are not smart enough to know it.

Strange post..the thread was all about forced heath care covering contraception..which last time I checked was a religious issue..
    All those women were Evangelical..
I wonder why that didn't work in Hawaii..N.H. or Florida ?

Must be those non swing states filled with Mormons.

Romney carries the Off shore vote and Obama loses..
He carries Florida and Calif. Obama loses..

Romney carries some N.E states and Obama loses.
The midwest and south is always a Republican vote..cept for MN.

I think religion had a great deal to do with it. Southern Evangelicals voted for Santorum and Newt, who are both Roman Catholics. Southern Evangelicals are not known to have much love for Roman Catholics, many do not even consider them to be Christian. Yet 2/3rds of the primary voters chose to vote for Roman Catholics rather than vote for a Mormon.

Shouldn't that be "Kiss my cheesy grits?" lol...

Romney doesn't really eat grits but a few of his buddies own grit mills.

At the end of the day just count the delegates. It is what counts. You may not like it, but that's the rules.

All the candidates should leave each other alone and do nothing but attack Obama. he is their target. Let the people decide...and we do not need more debates either.
