Trump had Ye to the WH. Obama welcomed Common.

The folks praising Ye were apt to criticize common. Now both are hip hop artists from the south side of Chi (312 yo), both are about the same age and they even worked together. Why was one totally acceptable to be invited to the WH while the other was abhorrent.

Personally, I like both of their early work. Ye seems to have gone off the deep end, but he still represents. Yo.

The issue with common had to do with his subject matter. People thought it was disrespectful to invite someone who glorifies cop killing to the white house under when there was so much tension, and the cops felt hung out to dry by the administration. Obama always siding against the cops without all the facts, and always being wrong. This was one of the things people felt Obama did to worsen racial tensions.

i call bullshit. Ye can be considered as anti woman as trump in a time when kav was just sworn into the USSC. Of course the RW OUTRAGE machine ignored that.

Yes, glorifying the murder of cops while cops are being murdered is exactly the same as glorifying consensual sex when there are women who get raped.

    Nailed it.

Ye vs literally anyone in the music industry. Ted Nugent and Kanye are pretty much it.

Kanye has been pretty apt for a lay person. I thought his Ye vs the People single was absolutely spot on.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say the amount of trump supporters who listen to kanye is like... 2%. I am thinking the vocal right... .04%.

It was a fair question, which is why I answered it, but a ridiculous comparison.
