Yes, Texans actually pay more in taxes than Californians do
While ITEP's findings were compiled from 2018 data, one expert says not much has changed in Texas

A popular post recently shared on Reddit's main economic forum displayed a graphic that explained how Texans actually pay more in taxes than Californians do, unless those Texans are in the top one percent of all earners. over the last four years.

I have demonstrated in several threads that rich people is not the class of people that create jobs. It's consumers who create jobs. It's the middle class that consume most of their income (and poor people who consume ALL their income) who create jobs.

TX and FL have such corrupt state governments that this does not surprise me one bit.

    It kinda did me.

About 15 years ago I personally did research and in Texas, taxes were about 5% lower than Cali (my state) for the working person (bottom 90%). For the wealthy (above $150,000 I believe it was then), your taxes were much, much lower. 50% range. They've blown that out of the water now.

Had a friend sell everything in Cali and moved to Texas, ended up buying stuff there but moving back to Cali within 5 years, but left his adult kid there to run the property he bought. Miserable place to live he said, never cooled down in the summer.

    This is absolutely nonsense.

You can't consume anything if there's no goods to consume.

You're arguing that if a rich person creates a successful company it's actually the customers who created all the jobs. That's an outright lie because those jobs had to exist first, then something to purchase had to be created by them, THEN and ONLY THEN were customers capable of consuming/purchasing those goods or services. You can kinda sorta argue that the customers sustain the jobs, but they absolutely did not create them.

That's the argument, get real! Without known demand, the entrepreneur would not create the goods or services, but without the demand, there would be no jobs created!

Cali, the worlds 5th largest economy, the home of the most millionaires and billionaires? Doing ok I think. Yes it's expensive to live here, went to a house yesterday in Pebble Beach that is a $22 million fixer upper

Not surprised people are leaving, of course I've heard for 40+ years Cali is a failing state too :)

It's so "great" people are leaving on droves to Texas. Give it about 10 more years and the billionaires will leave state because why would you want to willfully pay that much in tax when you can just shift slightly sideways on the map and save, save, save?

    LOL

Oh and just wait until the ramp up in blackouts as California tries to enforce electic cars when they can't already meet energy needs.

That should be a fun time!

Without false premises, distortions and lies, what would the right EVER have?

Texas puts final estimate of winter storm death toll at 246

Jan 2, 2022 — Officials added 36 to the estimate of lives lost in the disaster, which knocked out power in much of the state

Good thing the governor of California has all but insured that Cali will be in a "perpetual winter storm" as it struggles to keep up with the hike in power required to charge the electric vehicles.

You are just going to have to swallow the fact that people are opting out of woke Cali in favor of winter storm deaths?

    LOL.

Unfortunatly, California's progressive dipshit policies have led to that state being over ran with them.

"Other states have done a better job despite spending less money. “This isn’t rocket science,” said John Snook, who runs the Treatment Advocacy Center, which advises states on mental health and homelessness policy around the country. “Arizona is a red state that doesn’t spend a ton on its services but is the best scenario in every aspect. World-class coordination with law enforcement. Strong oversight. They don’t let people fall apart and then return to jail in 30 days like California does.” "

Your first posit from your link

    1. California ranked dead last in Chief Executive magazine’s annual Best and Worst States for Business survey in 2016. Oh, and it also was ranked dead last for every other year that the survey has been conducted.

    CEO MAG? So CEO's say?

    Your 2nd
    2. In 2015, the state of California ranked 50th out of all 50 states in new business creation.

California still leads US in new business formation

OK, If you "believe" in right wingers BS, your link might mean something. Care to refute the subject though?

I'll admit, Cali cares about people, unlike red states who can give a sh*t about their residents, we do provide services that are not available in red states. It's climate in general is more acceptable.

There IS a reason Cali is the most populated state, and largest economy by 40%. One of the highest GDP per resident and fastest growing economies.

    My area

Oh that explains it! You are one of those cushy white liberals who preach behind the safety of your all white subburian/gated community.

Now I know where to file your bullshit opinions!

California is overrun by homesless because the leadership there refuses to make the hard decisions and instead has made life WORSE for everyone.

And it's a big reason why everyone is leaving your shithole state.

~ California has beautiful topography , perfect weather and every outdoor activity and water sport there is. Property tax is leveled off by Proposition 13. Much opportunity to make money. However the one-sided liberal government is a BIG problem. Too many regulations and not business friendly. Real estate is expensive in many areas due to supply/demand. These things can all change for the better with a balanced electorate — the sooner the better.
