Yet another condridiction of the christian view of god....

The Old Testament stories are actually about the Jews' existence under the various empires that controlled them for centuries. The "God" character usually refers to the the Assyrian emperors who ruled the area. There is no such thing as an invisible sky God who screws with humans on Earth. The Israelites were the strong men's vassals and they collaborated with whoever was in charge at the time.
