Given that you still allow weapons commonly used in mass shootings in the US, why do you continue to subscribe to the theory that it's your laws that make you safer against mass shootings?

New Zealand still allows ownership of "assault weapons". When was their last mass shooting?

 

Not totally banned, but ownership is limited to:

Category C shotguns, limited to
1 members of the Australian Clay Target Association or clubs affiliated
with the Australian Clay Target Association with a medical need to use a
Category C shotgun due to a lack of strength or dexterity, or
2 individuals who were on 15 November 1996 registered shooters with
the Australian Clay Target Association and who, at that time, possessed
a semi-automatic shotgun or pump action repeating shotgun for use in
clay target events.

The most commonly used hunting shotgun in the US is banned for hunters in Australia.

 

There's no reason you cannot have one today.

A large clunky gate loaded 12 gage revolver badly made, poor materials, PASS, do not buy.

Norinco made nice clones.
Carry extra cartridges in cargo pockets.

 

Doubles are very fast and if you have ejectors you can learn to keep two in your weak hand and reload quickly.
