Perhaps this one applies in this case. a : an emotional state or reaction

Just as good a definition as any, but again...unprovable. You have to take someones word that they have the feelings.

This is the difference between feelings and facts that I have been "ranting" about. one is documentable and verifiable...one is almost faith based.

I will say there may be a small population that would quality as having no feelings. Feelings are documentable and verifiable, at least empirically. Ever have a physical reaction to someone very attractive? There are physical/chemical reactions taking place to the feeling.

The link you post is still speculation. Everything says "they think" not "we know" it's not an exact science. Personally I wouldn't put a child on hormones or something like that based on this "science". No way in hell, I'd let them grow to adults and decide on their own AT THAT TIME.

Huh? Scientists have known for years about the physical differences of a male and female brain.

No, I don't see any such implications in the phrase, "So can I, with my mate." I mean you inferred, or assumed, the information. Readers/listeners often infer information from writers/speaking that the writer/speaker never actually meant to imply.

The quote did Imply such, by the fatc it was offered after a Heterosexual reminded the poster that he and his mate could produce kids. Obviously he was talking procreation, and the rebuttal was so can i and my Mate. Which imlies the same.....and of course I inferred as much while reading it.

Honestly both words can be used here depending on the frame of reference you are taking. Either way, we're digressing a bit here.

For those of you that totally believe the "science", let me ask you this, for these young children that are living as the opposite sex and I've heard as young as 5-6 years old, are they getting their brains scanned and all of these scientific tests you describe? Or are they just throwing a dress on a toddler because he chose Barbie over GI Joe?

This is a biased news article please provide proof with a documented scientific journal.

Also all this "science" is showing is that certain people have more or less masculinity and femininity than others. Has nothing to do with gender at all. Just people twisting facts to benefit their argument.

And nobody can answer my question? Even if you believe the science is accurate, are they actually scanning the brains of the children with advanced scientific techniques before pumping hormones into them and encouraging them to be this way?

I stand by my opinion, I'd fight it, if my daughter said she wanted to be a boy, she'd have zero support from me or my wife, she'd have to wait to reach her 18th birthday to begin that "transition".

Wrong. One can not tell the difference between the brain of a male and a female by sighting a physical difference.

Would your opinion change if some weirdo somehow convinced her that she was actually born a male?

Tell me how a female brain looks different than a male brain? Does a male brain have some part dangling from it that a female doesn't? Enquiring minds want to know your answer to that one.

Read the article I posted. Male brains are larger and have more gray matter. Female brains are more tightly woven and have more white matter.

You can find info on the Internet to support any contrived contention you wish to make. The fact is, if the brain of a male and female were side by side on a table, no one could tell which is which.

That is not at all the fact. And you won't be able to find a single scientific website to support that statement.

You're making a fool of yourself.

You would have to read the thread, many people think it is justified.

I'm not the one who thinks the male brain has some appendage hanging off of it to make it visibly different than a female brain.

    - - - Updated - - -

But he read it on the Internet. It has to be true.

I told you the exact physical differences between male and female brains. None of which included an appendage.

    - - - Updated - - -

The opposite is equally ridiculous. I read it on the internet so it must not be true.

I don't believe everything on the internet. But when every medical and neuroscience website discussing this subject says it's true then it's probably true. Who are you to say otherwise? You haven't even seen a brain. Let alone a collection of male and female brains to compare.

And the fact remains that no one, even the most trained medical professional, can tell which brain came from a female and which one is from a male simply by looking at each. Period.

    - - - Updated - - -

Do you also think a trained professional can tell which brain came from an African person, or an Asian or a Caucasian?

YOU never answered, did they use these advanced tchniques, MRI scans etc to analyze these kid's brains that they are allowing to take hormones and live that way?
