Zimmerman death threats: Misdirected energy.

So we've heard about all the death threats now against Zimmerman, his family, his attorneys, his letter carrier, his barista, and anyone he's every known, spoken to, or considered knowing. Even the Sanford police chief has received a few. Nothing unusual in this great land of ours. But I'd like to direct the mob about 1,200 miles slightly to the northwest. Why aren't they issuing death threats to the murderers of the 80-100 African Americans who will die this month in Chicago? Why is Trayvon's life more important than theirs? Now maybe I'm being a little facetious here, but could you imagine the impact they could have if they took all that energy they're using to hate one man and turned it against the perpetual thug culture in our rotting urban cores which is responsible for more black deaths than a hundred Zimmermans? Young black men in Detroit, for example, are three times more likely to go to prison than they are to graduate high school. And if you are black and in Chicago? YOU ARE A TARGET. Chances are your assailant will share your skin tone... yet all this energy, all this hate directed at one man? What's the point? I just don't get it.

 

Easy ... very rare a white shoots to death a brutha because God told him too ...

 

Was this part of the testimony? I have not heard this. Zimmerman claimed that God told him to shoot Tray? Or are you just making (*)(*)(*)(*) up as usual? Yet still, so what? The angry mob could have ZImmerman's head on a silver platter and next weekend, a dozen young black men will still be gunned down in cold blood in the president's home town... over a pair of sneakers.

 

The Chicago situation is actually an example of domestic terrorism for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. The intent is to force all of the blacks out of Chicago. Tens of thousands have already left. In the end it will be like the Jews who stayed in Nazi Germany. They didn't leave because they were either too old, too poor, or they just liked the place and didn't want to start over elsewhere.

The Z case illustrates another problem. TM was a victim of opportunity for a member of the Slave Patrol. All of the conditions were just right for him to get shot on that dark and rainy night. It could have happened to any black man.

The two situations are different. People are more upset about the Z case because they feel that it shows that there is no equal justice in America despite our wonderful propaganda that claims that there is.

People constantly comment about the Chicago situation but they don't understand what's behind it. It's the desire to make Chicago an all-white city.

 

Yeah I also don't understand all this hatred directed at one man. Why don't people channel their anger against the perpetual thug culture in our rotting urban cores? Can't anything be done? Are we out of solutions to get things fixed?

Here is a grim statistic. According to the FBI between the years 1976 and 2005, the latest stats available; 91 percent of homicides on black Americans were committed by other blacks... 91 percent.

Also, 14 percent of homicides on white Americans were committed by blacks twice as many as the other way around. So the truth is that black men are not being "hunted" down by whites as some hysterical commentators charge after the Zimmerman acquittal.

Where is the outrage concerning black on black crimes? It appears that people tolerate black on black crimes but oh boy if a non black like GZ kills a black kid in self-defense all hell breaks loose....all the crazies come out wanting to kill George and his family and everybody else who these crazies deem as being allies of George...I'd say that's pretty insane to say the least!

He said it was "God's plan" but of course people are going to misinterpret what George really meant by that. He didn't elaborate as to what he really meant by saying it was God's plan.

 

I suspect that many of the Defend Trayvon supporters are trolls who post anti Zimmerman hate and are just masquerading as concerned liberals. What they really want to do is to set the Hispanic and black communities at each other's throats. Common sense and reasoned discussion be damned. By the way, given your attitude, is there a reason why you use a black pimp as your avatar? It seems to be intended to incite the same mindless hatred against the gangsta' culture you seem to be against. Just curious.

So he's a rapper. As a karaoke singer I've heard his songs before being sung. Fun if done well! Just didn't know that was him. I suppose we can agree to disagree if his picture looking like a cop show pimp holding an imaginary gun at a viewer is sending the wrong message but we definitely CAN agree that those going after George Z should direct their energy at the toxic gangsta' role models that are infecting black youth. I was chairman of the neighborhood watch for a year in a Pasadena neighborhood two blocks from where the 1993 Halloween murders took place. I fully understand how the thug drug culture can corrode a community. I have no love for it or anything that reminds me of it.

There are still many unknowns on what actually happened that night, but given that your son was in the same situation that Trayvon was and he was murdered would you just wish Zimmerman the best.

They also need less access to guns and drugs that are pumped into black communities, because these two items are the root cause of many of the problems in the black community.

 

As a multiple property owner in a gated condominium complex who previously participated in a neighborhood watch program, and had been threatened by gang thugs for doing so, and who presently participates in our condo complex Homeowners Association along with my wife, yes I do wish Zimmerman the best. Fortunately we still live in a nation of laws not blood feuds. If my son was killed while committing an act of violence against another person I would feel rage against the perpetrator but I would not stir up a mob to lynch him. I would leave justice to the courts as grating as the judgement may be. That's what being an adult is about. And before you say anything there is ample evidence that Trayvon had violent tendencies and a problem with authority. I am convinced after examining the evidence that he most likely DID assault George Zimmerman requiring a lethal defensive response. The jury agreed. It is to their shame that his parents do not acknowledge this obvious fact and let the issue rest.

 

I am pretty sure you do, since it wasn't your 17yr old son he murdered. That gang thug BS has been put on Trayvon to try and justify a coward with a gun murdering him.

Yea the laws are great, as long as, they work in your favor.

I don't remember Sybrina or Tracy stirring up a mob to kill this coward.

I am pretty sure you would because had Trayvon been white Zimmerman would be doing 25yrs to life so the Justice System would give you Justice.

The Justice System has constantly screwed over black folks in America since the first slaves hit the soil, but its my hate and xenophobia. Unbelieveable.
