Really? Most people in my area that would be trying to break in or steal stuff out where I live would be white. Nothing racists about it. To answer to orginal question; yes I have several guns in my bedroom and they are all loaded (no kids in the home), not to mention the several more guns around the house or the couple of dogs that do not like someone trying to get in their house at night. Is it paranoid, nope, it is called being prepared.

Read on my mixed up comrade read on; I find many anti-firearm people in the USA* are for the most part socialist and alien to the concept of freedom and related ideas. Many of them readily admit and are proud of the fact that they despise the concept of national sovereignty. Most anti-firearm people of the ilk I mention are generally, fearful of life so its no suprise that taking on the responsibility of their own security is horrifying or worse....lol. Heck for that matter they are so fearful of freedom they would run over granny to give the chore of self defense to someone else . I think the reason that type antigun people are so seemingly irrational is because they were indoctrinated into a leftist/socialist paradigm nearly from birth. They do not understand the kind of rights described by the founding fathers. By rights I mean those noble and lofty concepts described by the bill of rights and other constitutional documents that were created by the founding fathers of the USA. I am sure God helped guide the pen or quill at times when mere mortals struggled…but I digress. The key idea is that individual RIGHTS trump nearly all else for a citizen of the USA. Who said trespass is a capital offense? Not where I live it isn't. I have no idea why someone wants to enter my home illegally nor do I intend to ask. Look up Castle Laws in the state of Illinois.

Invading some one's property is a CRIME. We don't bother to ask what they are going to steal or who they are going to rape. It only becomes a capital offense when the perps choose to make that decision.
