Dude, please, tell me you're just kidding around.

Okay, if you actually believe there were 1 billion feminists alive during the time of George Washington, change your name now.

Seriously, this is for your sake. Delete your "ryobi" user ID, go research history and geography as it relates to population in America, come back, with a whole different user ID, don't tell anyone that you're the new "ryobi".

Because here's the thing, all your debate opponents are going to have your above quote copied and ready to paste. On any issue. You could be debating about the new Star Wars movie, and your opponent will post that quote and say, "How can I respect anyone who believes there were 1 billion feminists alive during George Washington's term."

Someone else will be like, "But... there weren't even 1 billion people in America during that time."

Then of course the joke will be add, "Well, that's perfect, he probably doesn't think women are people."

And it just goes downhill from there.

I hope you realize how still very vague that is. At least to prompt another question:

How does a "real" woman live?

"Radical Feminist," is a redundant term. It's like saying, "Radical Nazi" when for the most part every Nazi is/was radical.

Of course you can find exceptions to every generalization e.g. there was even a Nazi named Oscar Schindler who saved hundreds of Jews. However, generally Nazi's did not save Jews. In fact it's estimated the Nazis killed 6 million Jews by the end of WWII.

Similarly, there may be someone who calls themself a feminist who thinks the sentencing gap is at least as bad as the wage gap, or that the gender achievement gap at universities is an inequality that's a problem rather than an inequality that's a victory, and there may even be a feminist who takes responsibility for her/his shortcomings rather than blaming them on the patriarchy. There may even be a feminist who believes the biased family/divorce courts are wrong rather than working to make them even more biased. There may even be a feminist who supports his/her beliefs with evidence. I mean there are exceptions to almost everything. I mean there was even a Nazi who saved Jews rather than killing them-right???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ok, you could be right. Maybe, I was wrong. It's possible it was Abraham Lincoln, not George Washington.

You can certainly ask such an idiotic question as why I don't believe in fantasies, but you can hardly expect such a question to be dignified with an answer.

In the instant case, desire has nothing to do with it, more's the pity.

I don't have to do any such thing.

Your misperceptions are no concern of mine.

It's hard to describe. The best way I can describe is that it is similar to misandrists, but with one major difference. Feminists want to destroy men, emasculate them, and reduce them to slaves.

A lot of them are lesbians, but I personally believe that almost all radical feminsts suffer from penis envy.

I don't know if you like to watch you tube videos, but here's some short ones to hopefully help illustrate what they do:

Here's a few v ideos that could help you understand.

You can not be angry at women that express their freedom...even from feminism. That was the basis for the movement--self determination for women on their own terms.

No one accepts all the precepts of any ideology. Let them walk their path...most likely they will arrive at the same place.

Men are often relegated to the auspices of expendability.

How often do we see corporate campaigns for breast cancer awareness; lots of walks and pubic awareness of this...lots of pink ribbons.. Are people aware that prostate cancer in males cause nearly equivalent deaths per 100,000 that breast cancer does. Both are cancers influenced by hormones. Prostate cancer is to men what breast cancer is to women.

Breast cancer awareness advocates have done an inspired job getting out word and excitement for their cause. Despite their success, prostate cancer has been left in the dust both in terms of awareness and federal funding. Case in point, prostate cancer research receives less than half of the funding breast cancer does; with breast cancer research in 2010 getting $891 million and prostate cancer research receiving $399 million.

As a stage IV prostate cancer survivor, I stood a 40/60 probability of death within one year given my initial diagnosis. There were no pink ribbon campaigns, no walks, no support groups...nope...you suck it up, you internalize the fear, you suffer in silence..and if you die...you're expendable anyway. Women are the valued commodity, at least in Western culture. Males are sent to combat in greater numbers, males work in the more dangerous fields in greater numbers...and males drink, drug and kill themselves in greater numbers.

Males are expendable to the social construct formulated by feminism. We're good for opening pickle jars, that's about it. Pehaps there was a time in our society where women were indeed oppressed but now it is the male who is oppressed and told from birth on...your life simply isn't as valuable as the female and this is how we're going to treat you.

NEITHER! NO PRESIDENT! EVER! Unless we're talking about the future. The 2010 United States census puts the US population at 308,745,538. How would there ever have been enough feminists to make 1 billion?

This is all symptomatic of your exaggerations here. So why am I not surpised?

Obviously you didn't even watch the video because the rally took place in Argentina, not the United States, and that video has been heavily edited. It doesn't even show the worst of it.

They aren't free from feminism.......but they are free to give up everything feminism has obtained for them.

And, again, I object to women who reject feminism while benefitting from it. Maybe they're so young and uneducated that they don't know what benefits they enjoy because of it but hopefully they might learn before they make bigger fools of themselves.

All I see here is a thread full of hasty generalization fallacies, along with one or two posters who aren't really interested in anything other than their own opinion .. on that basis I can make my own hasty generalization that based on some of the responses here all men just want a woman to be an angel in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom ... and I'm a male!!!!

and as, like some posters here who are not really bothered about debating there is nothing you can say to change my mind.

For the less discerning of you, all of the above - apart from the first bit on fallacies - is sarcasm.

We're not discussing the women's suffrage movement and gaining the right to vote, or equal pay for equal work..both of which any person should support. Modern feminism has indeed relegated males to nothing more than rapists, creeps and oppressors. The demographics of the United States has shifted, the nuclear family with a married man and woman raising a child/children, has been replaced by single parent homes. Fathers are viewed as unnecessary, the court's give them lesser rights; they are essentially walking and talking wallets. "Just give your child support, and stay away from your son and daughter, I'll raise them by myself." What we have is an epidemic of children raised by peers instead of two parents. The single mom is too busy working, or is simply too tired to effectively raise her child/children. This makes them vulnerable to a multitude of negative influences.

There is no question as to the value women have in our culture, they are vital...but lest we forget, males are important to the overall functioning of the family unit as well. Children need positive male role models and there is none better to do this than a caring father.

We, as males, should not have to apologize for our existence, but this is essentially what feminism demands from us...we're demonized.

At least one mother has figured it out. [IMG]

Many women are seeing the damage that modern feminism has wrought upon our society and the pendulum needs to shift, just as it did when women were truly oppressed, were truly viewed as lesser than the male. A culture requires maintaining a delicate balance, as the social entropy of imbalance will eventually wreak havoc. Modern feminism needs to reassess it's valuation of the male role in the family and the culture at large. Expendability, as a descriptor of gender worth, either male or female..is unacceptable.

Suddenly I have an image of a musical of George Washington singing songs and dancing the can can in Argentina.

    Meh.
