You are clueless, up on a roof top you are above the mobs and when the shooting begins the targets have no clue where incoming is coming from.
Most all of the AR-15 and its variants are already reasonably accurate rifles out of the box and since you would be defending yourself against nearby threats, having a scope may classify you as a sniper in the eyes of the law rather than someone who's simply trying to defend himself. I believe that you'd be better served with a red dot sight for the nearby threats you're likely to encounter from murderous mobs who behave little differently than rabid animals. Re: I thought the same thing but maybe there were no shots being fired at the time of the photograph. Let's just hope that these recent riots don't turn into fire-fights but I never regretted being prepared for a worst case scenario. Thanks,
AFAIK, the Korean's didn't fire on the rioters. Just being armed as they were deterred the mob and they kept their distance.
I believe you're right or else we would have read reams of simpering leftist drivel about how those "trigger happy & bloodthirsty" Koreans "murdered" angelic looters each of whom had suffered from 400 years of disenfranchisement from the wicked, evil and greedy white devil oppressor. I can think of at least three instances in which my just being armed saved me from "disenfranchised" thugs whose intent was clearly not to make me any happier, healthier or wealthier.
I will argue with this idea that someone has to show a need for something in order to have it this isn't North Korea. People don't need 5 pairs of shoes, people don't need to cars. People don't need five bedroom houses. But if you have the money you can have all of those things and more. The fact that I want an AR-15 with a 9000 round magazine means I should be able to get one the Constitution says I have that right.
Chicago- Four people killed in drive-by shooting "Last night, four people taking part in a yard party were shot and killed. Police report a car stopped in front of the house, three guns jumped out and opened fire- then jumped back into the car and it sped away. None of the guns were identified except that one was identified as an assault type and the other two appeared to be pistols. The gun driving the car was not identified." IF you are a rational person- you know that something is missing here. However, it makes perfect sense to some.....
You have proof of that? Or are you just pulling facts out of your backside. By the way pistols cannot be purchased by a person who does not reside in the state of purchase, that has already been explained to you one already, memory problems maybe or are you just pushing a anti-gun line of BS?
"The lack of law enforcement forced Koreatown civilians to organize their own armed security teams, mainly composed of store owners, to defend their businesses from rioters.[84] Many had military experience from serving in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces before emigrating to the United States.[85] Open gun battles were televised, including an incident in which Korean shopkeepers armed with M1 carbines, Ruger Mini-14s, pump-action shotguns, and handguns exchanged gunfire with a group of armed looters, and forced their retreat.[86]" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Los_Angeles_riots
Fortunately you can cheaply obtain 30 round magazines in bulk (10 for $110) and they make speed loaders for them too!
Usually not. But I see your point. The last of the parts for my lower came in. Finding a Magpul grip was difficult.
You guys need to lighten up. Guns are good no matter where they come from. It’s the people who commit crimes with them you need to bag on...
Hey, I agree. If a pack or rabid dogs are coming at you, the only thing that matters is ending the threat- and you will need adequate power to get the job done. Don't skimp.
Which is why when that pack of rabid dogs are online anti gunners, having a mag full of facts works well at taking them down.
Given the conditions today, I've added something to my personal defense gear- body cameras. With this bizarre upside-down pattern of prosecuting or threatening the victims, you not only have to defend yourself but may well need to be able to prove that you weren't the criminal in any confrontation. In Massachusetts, a programmable road warning sign was altered to read "The safety of all lives matter". That's being investigated. The term, "all lives matter" is being labeled hate speech. It's like someone's putting psychedelic mushrooms in the water in city halls, because it's it that crazy. I already have serious camera systems for my business and home, and cameras in the cars and trucks. You rarely need to call on the video these units record, but when you do it will be important. Body cameras can be simple and totally mobile, and not too expensive. More likely everyday that people minding their own business will be accosted, for any reason these lunatics decide to use for an excuse. Long ago, when I got a commission from our state attorney general which also provided carry privilege, he gave me one piece of advice- If you have to shoot somebody- you kill them. He emphasized that, said that is a hard rule you must adhere to. Should that happen you may need to prove why it was necessary, the body cam can do that.
