What ELSE he might have said? The conversation was recorded. We know what he said. Why won't you confront it?

I will address your desperate distractions (most of which I've already addressed) if you address my question. Why did he acknowledge this was deadlier than the flu in private while telling us in public the opposite? Simple question. Why won't you confront it? How much would I need to pay for you to address the topic?

I see that first time in their 175 year history Scientific American has endorsed a candidate for president. Guess what, they are not backing Downplaying Donald.

So far, only 99.94% of people have survived it.

Have you heard all 9 hours of interview tapes? Me neither.

I have confronted the question. My answer that this in not the biggest issue in America to worry over, IMO. People write books. A lot of people have written a lot of praise and criticism books about Trump. This is a criticism book. We don't know how much information got cut in editing...but I expect everything which might have hinted at a positive attribute didn't make the book.

And we had a plane full of evacuees from Wuhan, China land in Anchorage, Alaska en route to California on JANUARY 28th that Trump was not told about and reportedly furious about when he did find out about it the following day. The travel ban to and from China came soon after.

It appears that Trump’s response time in reaction to the outbreaks as they were happening were rational and on point. When did the WHO declare COVID-19 as a pandemic again?

I had it. Not as bad as other people, but I did have it. Do you get that yet?

So far it has killed more people than any other viral epidemic in the US for the past century (actually more than a century). But don't let a silly thing like facts get in the way. Trump sure as hell won't.

200,000 this year compared to 60,000-80,000 flu deaths EVERY year. Are you new to real life or something?

. . . let your own numbers sink in for a second. Just . . . try reading them again. Just try. And maybe do some more homework.

I've heard the context. Anyone who wants to can. Trump knew the threat and he lied about it. You don't care that the President lied to the public about the largest viral threat we've faced in over a century, and I do care. Feel free to explain why one day. I won't sell my soul like that.

And...I have had a firsthand experience with it. You have not. You are frightened of it. I have a concern. That is the difference between us.

Where was your panic when people have been dying by the tens of thousands from the flu since the early part of the 20th Century? Let that question sink in a little for you.

Prove I haven't. And cite me ever being "frightened" of getting it myself. Or keep making **** up if that's what it takes. Meanwhile, please do the scientifically literate thing and learn the difference between actual evidence and an anecdote. That's the actual difference between us.

I've said nothing of "panic." And the flu is not one disease. It is an umbrella term for many different viruses, none of which, for the past century, have been as deadly as this virus, or even remotely close to being as deadly. Where am I losing you? What of this is news to you?

Not remotely close. And certainly not the same disease every year. This is their desperate attempt to play make-believe because the Dear Leader is in trouble.

If yearly flu deaths were counted like COVID deaths, our worst flu year in the last 20 years, or so, was 15,000 people.

We are under counting COVID deaths.

Btw, I looked up flu deaths over the past decade. Only one year in the past decade surpassed 60,000 . . . none surpassed 65,000, much less 70 or 80k. We lost 37,000 in 2010-11. We lost 12,000 in 2011-12. Most flu deaths are in the fall and winter. If you total flu deaths FOR SIX ****ING YEARS (2010-2016), then you'd have roughly the number of COVID deaths we've had in LESS THAN A YEAR . . . BEFORE THE FALL/WINTER PEAK.

Yes, it was spreading before China detected it. I think everyone agrees with that.

But, you'll need to say what your main point is here.

For example, why did you cite that pneumonia case?

Do you fret everyday about the 1,250,000 Americans who die every year of heart disease and cancer, or do you only worry over the numbers that media slams into your face every day?

So, no matter what anyone says or doesn't say or locks down or opens up, the virus is here. The virus is in every country in the world. Some countries went through some very austere lockdowns and as soon as they crept into reopening, they had a spike in cases. Some countries hardly did any restrictions except for voluntary requests to observe general safety practices. They had more consistently higher cases, but at some point the virus seems to have "worn itself out".

No one ever honestly said we are going to save a life with restrictions. They only said that we could slow down the rates of spread and death, stretch it into a long slog to regulate hospital capacity.

I really don't care what Trump said on February 7th versus what he might have been thinking. It wouldn't have made one bit of difference in the outcome.
