as long as the ID is free, easy to get and an expired ID still proves you are you, I have no issue with it

Mine wasn't free and yours probably wasn't either. I could go along with the free part but it's already easy enough to get and if it's expired there is likely a reason for that.

 

I have a drivers license, not a basic ID

when my drivers license expired once, the bank would not cash a check

even though the drivers license was still good for 30 days after

same happens when trying to by alcohol or cigarettes to people

the ID part is still valid, it's just the driving part that is not

but your confusion on this, is exactly why I fear some would use this to deny people the right to vote

cause the drivers license expired... even thought the drivers license was good for another 30 days

so if your drivers license expired the day before the election, would you be denied, even though it was still valid for driving for another 30 days?

That's totally wrong, that's why we have registration and election judges. Certain bronze dyed abysmal idiots notwithstanding we do NOT have to show ID to buy groceries and many people who don't drive really don't have to show ID for anything. We already HAVE a perfectly good system in place for ensuring that only qualified voters get to vote, there is NO other reason to require voter ID than to disqualify the poor and the old, a wet dream of most Republicans since they became the rich people's mouthpiece in 1876.

 

Forging a fake vaccine card should be a felony, minimum punishment 5 years in prison.
