If we had a national ID program, a singular high-tech source of identification linking to things like autos and guns and voting and passports and taxes and so on, vaccine cards could be folded into such a system. But we cant have this because neither party want to make it happen and their reasons are as dumb as it gets. The right opposes a singular federal ID program because they believe the government will use it to track them. The left opposes it because they would lose the fabricated fight over voting laws and of course everything illegal immigrant related.

Taken as succinct line items, the things you said are technically correct. However when it comes to the COVID vaccination there have been multiple polls showing a stark difference in acceptance of the vaccines along party lines. Republican responders overwhelm Democrats when it comes to those who state they will not get vaccinated. The polling data is nearly a mirrored response to similar polls regarding masks and shutdowns. So while generally speaking being an anti-vaxxer isn't a political alignment, fact is that the majority of Republicans are simply against any and all COVID mitigation efforts and have been from the start; Righty Politics 101.

One day every building, every public space, every street corner will have retinal scanning cameras and in order to do anything, literally anything, from getting on a subway train, to going into a grocery store, you'll have to glance at the camera to be identified. On that day we'll be able to take the largest steps towards eliminating crime and the spread of disease that mankind has ever taken and the people screaming 'muh rights muh freedoms' will either have to accept it or go live somewhere else.

Good on them, resist at any cost, including prison time.

Or just move to Florida where they've made them illegal.

    Agreed.

I also think every child should have a removable scanning chip implanted in him at birth. We should be equally as able to locate our children as we are our pets or the fenders of our cars.

People who think their privacy overrides everything are simply trying to defend some nonexistent feeling of importance. I'm sorry but nobody is trying to track you. Face it, nobody really CARES.

You know the biggest complaint I have with the pet trackers is that it took so long to attempt to standardize the frequency and the length of the code to the point where too many different systems came out and not all of them ended up being cross-supported. A real shame for a lost pet that had a chip, just not one that could be read by the equipment on hand where it was rescued. Even to this day it remains a problem. So pet owners, for best results, be sure to look into microchip RFID standards and ensure your vet is using a product that is actually adhering to them.

they don't have to let you into their country if you don't provide that documentation though - but you are free not to show it, just might be denied some things

no, Trump said it would be out a year ago, the left said about 1.5 years, the left was closest

Trump got the vaccine in January and hid it from the public

I think of them as heroes for helping people fight authoritarianism. I always tell people that two most important things in life are family and health. They are followed by freedom in third place. Government telling me how I should live my life doesn't even make the list.

The lengths people will go to in order to endanger the lives and health of others over the worship of Trump. I wish I could say it was surprising.
