Racism is still being practiced in any way imaginable....and people still say it does not exist.....

"The Austin family sunk $400,000 into renovating their home, but were stunned when they barely gained any value during the appraisal process. When they had a white woman pose as the homeowner, that all changed."

I said structural racism; actual legal restrictions based on race like segregated lunch counters and schools. "Racism," like when an old lady clutches her purse tighter when a black man walks by, have nothing to do with structural racism.

So then the more subtle forms of racism like this....

....would not be considered "structural racism".
    Correct?

Why are you advertising fraud and racism in San Francisco? Trump got 14% of the vote in that county.

Again as is typical the general worthless use of the term "minority". Really so Asians making $150,000 a year are discriminated against also?

So now we know that not only is the Bay area a bastion for bums and homeless but it is also a place that hates blacks and beat Asians?

    Cannot make this up folks.

Another precious bit from that link? Black homeownership is much less in woke California than the rest of the country. It's 44% in Alabama and Tennessee.

So if democrat racists(Joe and Hunter) will stop discriminating and hating blacks we can make some progress.

    Why not Frisco?
Why would anyone think racism is confined to only certain parts of this country?

But thanks for the info on tRumP...glad to hear it.

Real Estate has all kinds of kinks like that because, in spite of all the public protestations, good liberals don't want to live in Black neighborhoods or send their kids to Black schools. Maybe you've heard about white flight?

But that's not structural because it's a market reaction to personal racism. As soon as you good liberals stop lying to everyone and live your bumper sticker values, the problem vanishes.

to be fair, most Americans do not want to live where people self segregate to be away from other races, be they white or black or whatever

most Americans want to live in a diverse neighborhood where everyone feels safe and gets along

Housing prices are market indicators. You can draw your own inferences from that.

rich people will always price out poorer people as rich people commit less property crimes and assaults against their neighbors

not always true, but for most part .... the more money you have, the more you have to lose

most choose to live in the best neighborhood they can afford

this movie had a lot of truth to it

    "Trading Places"

    All good answers...IYO.
But isn't the whole point of the conversation about solving "problems of Black society" in this country?
Racism is still a problem for Blacks...if they are denied the same privileges that whites enjoy.
If a Black has to sell his property for half it's value simply because his skin color is not white...
    that is a problem.

if someone wants a house, they don't care about the race of the seller, they will try to underbid the seller and see if they will sell lower though... regardless of race

now, when it comes to renting to blacks, some racist renters may not want to rent to them, like the Trump properties were said to have done

That's an astonishing suggestion. Maybe I should exercise less and eat more fried onion rings as well.

I mean that if you were to read more, you'd know that the conservative disposition, outlook, orientation, mode of thinking, has several time honored and clear tenets. None are what you apparently believe them to be. They were extensively elaborated in The Conservative Mind. It's extremely well written, and if it doesn't succeed in making you less antipathetic to conservatism, it will at least help you understand what it is.

Liberals don't want to fix this. They have gone entirely out of their way to create this to make folks fearful. Why not start with them, and their design?

I don't think Trading Places has anything to do with what we're talking about, but as you say, "
most choose to live in the best neighborhood they can afford." So...what does that mean to you in regards to de facto racially segregated housing?

The very first post I made in this thread is that it isn't up to white people to "solve" the problems of black society. Only Blacks can solve their problems.

I've already stated that real estate prices are market based and the racial differences do show the hypocrisy of good liberals who fight like hell to keep section 8 housing out of their neighborhoods. But Black homeowners are not losing their shirts on real estate. Their is no absolute "value" for real estate. It changes according to market conditions. A Black family buying a home in a Black neighborhood is probably going to pay less for the home because of that. A Black family buying the same home in a white neighborhood might pay much more for the same home.

I think people should move if they are in a racially segregated area, better opportunities
