My mistake. I thought they were things like Trump making money from his hotels, from government employees having to use them. Lol.

Yep. It’s generally thought to be a bit corrupt.

many gun banners assume everyone is anti gun unless they get support from the NRA=rather than politicians who naturally support the second amendment, rather than that victim disarmament lobby, getting support from the pro rights side

You'd be very wrong. The amount the NRA spends on lobbying is rather small in US Politics. and the free anti gun advertising that CBS, NBC or ABC put into their prime time shows-as well as their biased news reports is many times more propaganda than anything the NRA can do

Being taught at the age of 8 what a gun is and what it does, what the dos and don'ts are, and imagine the fact I've never fired a gun at a person.

Children are taught to not touch a hot stove, yet approximately 200,000 children each year suffer burns directly from a hot object, or a scalding from a hot liquid.

Maybe, just maybe, the increased acceptance of drug use and the increased potency and availability of drugs plays a role here. When social services regularly hand kids back to households where the parent(s) are crack heads and junkies is part of the problem. Maybe when society figures it's "racist" to hold adults accountable for drugs, gangs and criminal activities regularly associated with those things we end up with more kids in homes where the parents just don't give a **** about the kids.

It was really silly to pretend that makers are going to discount their wares.

I have EDC’d for decades, during which I have interrupted 2 street snatch kidnappings, stopped a group from inflicing violence on a passive drunk, Stopped a robbery of my person ,and stopped a day light break-in of my house; By a fellow who was systematically breaking into houses on my street and, each time I used a gun, but no shot was fired (hmmmm carrying a gun . Doesn’t always require it be fired to end a threat) For me, my decision to carry had benefit and my experience has reinforced my choice to exercise my 2A rights. BTW, my guiding code reserves deadly force; it can only be applied to stop the immediate threat of great bodily harm or threat of death and for no other reason. And, I don’t brandish my weapons (most family and close friends have no Idea I might be carrying; it’s called concealed for a reason… Like a stonefish I melt into the background, but step on me or others around me and….

Given your track record, claiming your specious claims were sarcasm is not worthy of trust

I don't find much of what you post on gun issues to be particularly truthful
