Good input! Heterosexuals don't "make sure everyone knows it", that's correct. But as you point out, many Christians and (what's the politically correct term today?) gay people do. Those who do make a point of shouting their "whatever" ..... want something.

Genitals aren't the be-all and end-all of gender and nor is surgery on them the be-all and end-all of being transgender (many transgender people never have such surgery after all). They're obviously a relevant aspect but just one within a much wider and more complex topic.

Also, if gender was simply defined by what genitals an individual has, wouldn't having them surgically changed mean the patients gender has changed?

I was referring to all the other threads started on this forum, not just yours.

The issue is that people like yourself seem to be more militant about getting certain points across while at the same time complaining about militant transgenders. Pot, kettle, black. The focus of those who start threads seem to focus on the negatives and totally ignore any positives that transgender people feel, they are intolerant to differences among people, and beat the same dead horse over and over. How many threads have been started by transgenders being militant and forcing their lifestyles down the throats of members. Zero.

But as I explained, you're wrong. Transgender people don't behave as in genitals are all there is to gender. As I said, far from all ever have full surgery and even for those who do, i is far from the only thing they do as part of their transition.

It is many of the vocal opponents to transgenderism who make it all abut genitals, often outright stating that the genitals you are born with determines your gender and thus there is no such ting as being transgender or transitioning. They're wrong too.
