1. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that no one would stop Israel from achieving victory in its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. "No one will stop us -- not The Hague, not the Axis of Evil and no one else. It is possible and necessary to continue until victory and we will do it," Netanyahu told a televised press conference as the war in Gaza moves into its 100th day on Sunday..... His bragging comes as no surprise because of Uncle Sam's unquestioned backing of his country in the Middle East. It is reminiscent of a dog owner allowing himself to be walked by his pet in one of my tales in the "The Old Man of the Mountain". http://www.politicalforum.com/index...man-of-the-mountain-4.507884/#post-1067645617 Perhaps decades later, a statue or sculpture of "a dog walking a man" (which may become as famous as the statue of "Baron Munchausen riding half a horse, 1811, in Bodenwerder") from my fairy tale will appear somewhere in the world. 3. Usually politicians care only about themselves and if talking to their base can hurt the country internationally - they don't care. And people who have binary political opinions (one side is always bad and other side is always good), use these statements as the proof that their side is good. And how about these declarations:
It's not genocide. It's ejection. And they don't wanna leave. So. Just like every other conflict in the history of mankind, you fight for the land you want and win or you lose it and probably die in the process.
It’s sad that Netanyahu is using the situation to help himself, rather than doing what’s best for Israel.
I think they should not depend on the US or anyone else then for money or help. Netanyahu is a corrupt criminal who is using the situation for his own benefit and the Israelis need to kick him to the curb along with his religious extremist allies and do what’s best for their country.
Well, that certainly is the case with the right wing in the US. Indeed, the more parochial you can be, the better that particular audience loves it.
Isreal has apparantly committed itself to total ethnic cleaning in Gaza. They apparantly are bent on driving the ENTIRE population out, and is busy floating trial balloons regarding who is going to take them. This is a war crime of biblical proportions. And the division by the United States to support it at this point is a major moral failure.
I don't think it is a well thought out national security policy for Israel to stay in Gaza. It's occupation won't be easy nor inexpensive.
Of course, assuming that Israel sticks to it's stated objective: Which is the complete demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and eliminating Hamas as a threat from that area, there doesn't seem to be much choice other than an indefinite occupation to achieve those stated objectives. It is what it is.
He is right and I'm Glad to see to. Hamas will be destroyed as will its supporters. The weak will of those who oppose Isreal is to be promptly disregarded. Good on Isreal.
It's a major moral failure to not support Isreal righteously and effectively defending itself from Hamas. Which is exactly what they are doing
Well if you're referring to the holocaust then no. The Jews wanted to leave and tried but he wouldn't let them. Thats genocide
"Netanyahu says "no one will stop us" in Gaza" An earthquake will and Israel is long overdue for a biggy. Sept.10, 2023 ( my birthday..lol) 'Ombudsman warns Israel ‘has failed’ to prepare for major earthquake' https://www.timesofisrael.com/ombudsman-warns-israel-has-failed-to-ready-for-major-earthquake/#:~:text=Israeli experts have long been, prepared for a major earthquake.
Israel is the most diverse country in the region. The anti-Israel side is not in a position to criticize on cleansing or war crimes.
Yes, by far the most diverse country in the region. The rest of the region has been cleansed. Perhaps you can tell me where there is a thriving Jewish community in the region outside Israel?
So you're just going to dismiss all of the black prisons in Israel and Arab ghettos and bulldozed towns, never mind the persecuted Christians and claim Israel is diverse. Smh.
That would be the smart thing for Israel to do now... get the Palestinians OUT of Gaza, 'bag and baggage'. Needless to say, they've 'worn out their welcome'. Nobody wants them -- not Egypt, not Saudi Arabia, not Jordan, or anybody else. I've suggested that someone with DEEEEEEP pockets (like "Uncle Sugar") will probably get stuck with all the costs of moving them somewhere, and IMHO, the logical place would be down south in the Sinai Peninsula, but nobody wants to even consider that, and, it would be expensive, because we ("Uncle Sugar") would have to pay Egypt's price. But, we've done this kind of thing on and off ever since Israel came into existence, and we'd surely do it again. Afterthought: somebody ought to ask Putin if he'd take them in and put them to work somewhere east of the Ural Mountains. They need workers out there! A good location would be north of the border with Kazakhstan, which has a 72% Muslim majority, so, the general area would be "Islam-friendly"....
your statement was that Israel is diverse so icountered that by stating that you are ignoring the black prisons in Israel and Arab ghettos and bulldozed towns. That's as far as this convo has gone. If you now want to discuss surrounding regions then first address my counter. Thanks.
How ironic that would be, Europeans having sent Jewish ppl from Khazaria to Israel only to send palestinians to Khazaria.
