She should 1000% encourage her followers to vote. She's well within her right to promote her election choice. America is still a free country!
Unless it is a gameshow host riding down a golden escalator to the cheers of paid actors to announce his candidacy.
She could sell her displeasure by eliminating her personal security detail. One more reason to raise the voting age back to 21!
And while we are at it, what's with all of these uppity womenfolk voting? Someone should put a stop to that.
If women were barefoot and in the kitchen, the far right would be happy about that. But if Jesus came along and washed those bare feet like he did in the Bible, the same far right would lose their collective **** about it and call Jesus a woke cuck.
Because of tendinitis, my wife can no longer go barefoot, so I allow her to wear slippers in the kitchen.
Evidently she spotted Oliver Anthony in the crowd and invited him up on stage to sing with her after advising the audience that he was there.... Reportedly, he declined her offer and said that he was only there because someone had giving him free tickets and that he was not really a fan. I am sure that this giantly bruised her ego.... He really seems to equally loath and disdain both sides of the political spectrum.
Maybe you should get your facts straight. The GOP has been using Anthony's songs and fame against his will. https://checkyourfact.com/2023/08/29/fact-check-oliver-anthony-super-bowl/ Anthony recently called out Republican Presidential candidates for co-opting his Billboard chart topping single, “Rich Men North of Richmond” at the first GOP Primary debate, saying the song is “about those people,” The New York Times reported. The singer posted a YouTube video clarifying his politics do not align with the GOP, and he feels the song is being “weaponized,” according to Variety.
What fact is it that you imagine that I didn't get straight? Did you happen to miss where I specifically included this in my post? What part of this indicates that I said that he agrees with the right anymore than the left? He really seems to equally loath and disdain both sides of the political spectrum.
Sounds totally believable. For sure. Definitely happened. Also, when I attended the Eras Tour, they gave me a jetpack and I swooped onto the stage and took Taylor Swift back to my hotel for a threesome with me and my wife. Wild stuff!
Don't laugh. That's what Taylor and my wife did when they kicked me out of the room to have their own fun. Yeah, I'm a bit of a country fan, and the song was pretty catchy, but it is a shame the way the far right is trying to turn him into their political tool. They only like him for how they can use him.
Until election day she will have maybe two more relationships and has to get over it with two songs in which she will complain about how evil these men were. She will claim to stand against Trump bc of her fanbase, but realistically she is on the side of Taylor Swift!
Folks always have a problem when a celebrity talks politics...unless they agree with those politics. Right wingers LOVE Mike Rowe(I like him too, not knocking Rowe) even though he's a celebrity who's made a name for himself with his politics. But any left leaning celebrity gets told to shut up and just stick to performing. Of course it's the opposite for many left-wingers, since left and right in this country are increasingly becoming two sides of the very same coin.
I remember 2016, during early voting, Trump said, "Tom Brady said he voted for me". Brady later stated that he hadn't voted yet, and that when he does, it will be confidential.
Women are already voting against Trump. She isn't convincing anyone to change their vote. And if you vote based on the opinions of celebrities, you probably shouldn't be voting.
What will Taylor Swift do before the 2024 Presidential election? Who cares? But she is on the list of the 15 most politically verbal entertainers: https://www.etonline.com/gallery/15...-active-celebrities-151702/taylor-swift-81078 Oh, yes, and as nearly all of them are, she came off as flaming Liberal.... If she's smart she'd never forget that she's an ENTERTAINER... and that smart entertainers concentrate on entertaining and avoid making political pronouncements of any kind, Left or Right. Too bad Alec Baldwin, Robert De Niro, Paul McCartney, and a host of other has-beens forgot that important precept.
Buddy, she's doing fine. Her public comments haven't hurt her. And only the most fringe right winger would even consider her previous comments to be in any way controversial. They are pretty moderate positions.
It isn't about her convincing people to CHANGE their vote. It's about her ability to get people TO vote.
Its a sad day when we stop and consider that actors and singers are thought to be capable of rendering important opinions about anything but acting and singing. This is possibly the best proof of the charge that we have really turned into a dumbed-down nation.
