Taylor Swift was not happy with Trump's "Looting starts, shooting starts" comment. Will Trump say something that will upset her again. Millions of votes are at stake. In May of 2020 she tweeted this ---

After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November.

Will Trump say something to upset the superstar in 2024? Or will she stay silent?

Nope, so far she has been pretty mum about the election.

    https://www.thecut.com/article/who-is-taylor-swift-endorsing-2024-election.html

It’s Super Tuesday, and Taylor Swift has finally given an endorsement in the 2024 election. She went with the oldest possible choice: the concept of democracy itself. In an Instagram Story, the singer encouraged people to get out there and vote for whoever makes them feel good.

“I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power,” Swift wrote, adding, “If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote today.” It’s hard to look at two ancient white guys and see either of them representing ME, but okay.

I suggest that she not say anything. We already know her allegiance.

Trump and Conservative strategists understand the stakes and they are worried about it.

    https://www.npr.org/2024/02/11/1230747538/donald-trump-taylor-swift-biden-endorsement-disloyal

"There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money," Trump posted on Truth Social on Sunday afternoon.
    ....
Trump's appeal to Swift comes after weeks of speculation in conservative circles about whether the pop star will endorse Biden in his reelection bid, as she did in 2020.

Of course, if Trump keeps up with the Hate rhetoric, she probably will go Biden. And since he doesn't know how to keep his mount shut.....

Republican strategists are hoping that she doesn't say anything...

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-swift-effect-voter-registration/72201394007/

Swifties may be able to sway 2024 elections: All Taylor Swift has to do is say the word

After an Instagram post by Swift, a record of more than 30,000 people signed up through Vote.org during National Voter Registration Day, many of them teens who will be eligible to vote in this fall's election.
    ...
"The younger generation is really starting to connect the dots between what they care about and participation numbers," said Andrea Hailey, the CEO of nonpartisan Vote.org, which registered 279,400 new voters last year. "When you have someone registering 30,000 votes at a time it absolutely can have an impact."

She'll go with whoever the Democrat is from now until the rest of forever.

Maybe she can become bitter angry and fat and then she would qualify for a spot sitting on The view.

Seriously, if anyone is looking to entertainers for their opinion on how they should vote, they shouldn't be voting.

It's a damn shame that you have to have a license to fish in this country but you don't have to have a license to vote

Musicians speak to their fans through their lyrics and music. And people relate. This has been going on forever - Beatles (Revolution, Give Peace a Chance, etc.),
Credence Clearwater Revival (Fortunate Son - anti-war) and many many more. Some musicians don't necessarily write songs about their political leanings, but lobby heavily (Ted Nugent, Bruce Springstein, etc).

Yes, I can't imagine why she wouldn't want to join your open, constructive and positive movement.

Sure, entertainers are just for electing as President.

agree, all she has to say is "get out and vote", the more that vote, the less likely Trump wins, she doesn't have to say who to vote for

That's just what the online MAGA folks were saying because they assumed it was part of some Super Bowl psy-op.

The Rock is hedging, he's tied to his past at the WWE and business/social circle. Swift has the right to voice her opinion as to how she thinks will be a better POTUS....zero reason for her to be silent. Her choice.

And your ambitious target is "just as bad as the terrible people on the other side"? Other people doing bad things isn't a justification to do the same, it's a reason to be better.

truth is, I don't follow her. as a coach of a bunch of teen girls (among others) I understand her popularity even though there are far less popular lady singers (Maddy Prior, Sandy Denny, Chrissie Hyde) who can sing rings around her and Lady Gaga for that matter, who don't get the same level of teen adulation. I never find political announcements by entertainers to have any worth

I think of them having the same worth as any other random person on the internet to be honest. No more insightful, and no less.

Don't particular care about Taylor Swift myself, though I can't say I have anything against her either. I just found it amusing how MAGA turned on her on a dime and even made her part of some conspiracy theory.

It really seems like her encouraging people to vote has the same effect without the cost to her. Her people will overwhelmingly vote Biden... if they vote.

I doubt she will explicitly endorse Biden, but she might. She will continue to speak out on specific issues and continue triggering the right. She will continue encouraging people to vote. By the way, the Eras Tour was absolutely banger. I just went because my wife wanted to go and wanted tickets for our anniversary, but I had a great time.
