95+% (roughly) of the stuff sited on this forum does not meet the standards of a statistically significant peer reviewed Ivy League study. If I correctly quote a published Harvard study and you happen not to believe it just because its from "HAVAAAD" then just say that. Calling me a liar is inappropriate for ANY forum member but its particularly unbecoming of a moderator. Just say you don't believe Harvard studies. You don't have to call into question my honor.

As a moderator you should take the time to READ people's posts and then calmly reply. If you had simply asked me my thoughts I would have told you. Jumping all over me about a topic I am not familiar with and have no opinion about is inappropriate. I am not going to defend or attack the OP or anyone else about this La Raza business. I don't know anything about it. When I do I will think about contributing my opinion.

Well now , TODDWV , that sure is a good list you have there , took a lot of work and effort to compile that list , it sure did ...

and even though the PF TOS clearly states to take this up with the PF ADMIN or Mods in a PM , , , you put it on an open forum , and got away with it , so that's really great ... I'll file it away so when I do the same thing and I get infracted , I can say " wait a minute , he did the same thing "

The thing is , Toddwv , and I do agree that the Mods should be allowed to somewhat use a finer filter on what get's through and posted on PF and what doesn't , , ,still , when you get right down to it , every person that posts globally on PF should be allowed to have their say and post on threads

I haven't seen these posters on your list disrupting other threads , they seem to stay within their own group , so what exactly is your beef with the PF Admin / Owner in allowing them their freedom of speech ? ? ?

 

Your words are something like what I said. Due to forums are privately owned freedom of speech is somewhat limited. Personally I do not like that aspect but I dont pay the bills. I signed an TOS agreement. Another thing that effects the flavor of a site is the Mods. Everyone, mods included has personal issues and they lean one way or another, all of them. That is human nature. At one time when I first joined this site did lean towards defending religion and had conservative leanings. At that time many of the mods were highly religious ( the originals still are). Not heavily God etc favorite but discernible. I liked that because most general interest sites lean heavily to the left and are anti religious etc. However now the pendulum seems to be swinging back towards the left. Of course all my comments are subjective ha ha~

I agree with most of post #. I am more concerned with our authorities i.e. the police etc fear of insulting religious beliefs specifically the Muslims to the point they do not profile. I see very little wrong with racial profiling when in a war. Also a huge problem where the police seem to be afraid is the street gangs like MS-13 etc. There tens of thousands of Gang members. If the brotherhood or the Hells Angels were that numerous or brutal I am sure they would shut them down, so what gives? And what about the New Black Panther party fiasco where members intimidated voters by carrying weapons outside of voting areas? Again if the KKK would have tried that it would have been WAR. Of course I am not defending the Klan or the any violent radical group; I am just using them for examples.

That said I abhor most of the restrictions and loss of freedoms along with the homeland security scam etc that Bush endorsed. I happen to like Bush one and Bush two for several reasons so that off-set the reasons I did not like them. End of rant.

I am ready for what comes our way 'darkly'.

Well said, this and your other posts. What disappoints us all, I believe, is that we see the typical idiot response here that blame the messenger. Ignoring the rising ill-tide of the crinimal acts, and instead thinking the problem are posts in a forum. It is that lame behavior which only encourages more crime, as it seeks to mitigate, if not disarm, efforts made to stop it.

Yes I could see the biggest problem from a security standpoint is the speed of hit and run looting! Cell phones would enhance it for the bad guys. If I lived in a high crime area I would probably live in my business, a little high explosive or AP mines and the selector set on rock and roll on the bushmaster along with a selection of shot guns etc should deter thugs from taking over such enabled businesses. If all business owners would pay disciplined trained mercenaries to protect their place the entire flash mob thing could be whacked before it got started where say half the businesses were so protected. The question is who would shoot the intruders and who would let them take what the wanted. And some street gangs are armed to the teeth, but that is nothing that couldn’t be dealt with by forming interlocking kill zones with appro traps to slow everything down....
