Tucker Carlson may be able to fool gullible Fox viewers, but not federal courts

Prosecutors called Chansley a key figure in the Capitol attack.

"The government cannot overstate the seriousness of the defendant's conduct as one of the most prominent figures of the historic riot on the Capitol on January 6, 2021," prosecutors said in their filing. "The defendant was among the first 30 rioters to penetrate the U.S. Capitol building. The defendant then stalked the hallowed halls of the building, riling up other members of the mob with his screaming obscenities about our nation's lawmakers, and flouting the 'opportunity' to rid our government of those he has long considered to be traitors."

'QAnon Shaman' sentenced to more than 3 years in prison for role in Jan. 6 attack - ABC News (go.com)

Now after watching the video of the shaman guy walking quietly with police officers through the halls and thanking them during a prayer, we know that was BS.
Here's a video of him telling the group inside the Capitol it has to be peaceful (0:40).

This is not about Tucker. It is about the appearances of a DOJ that has become the attack dog of the DNC, and prosecutors that were so determined to make an example out of somebody that they forgot to abide by the long established rules of evidence. And put every single case about the events of 1/6 in jeopardy.

Only someone that puts party above all else cannot see that.

If there is a riot, you usually pay attention to those who are actually breaking the law, not those who are not. Not sure why that does not make sense to you. Of course I should add that 'walking around' in a building you broke into it still a crime, but when thousands of people are doing even worse than that, they they get the attention.

Next time you are pulled over for going 15mph over the limit, ask the cop why he pulled you over and not all the others who were going only 5mph over. He'll explain it to you.

So if they found his 8th grade yearbook, they’d have to turn it over as evidence also?

If it contains potentially exculpatory evidence, absolutely. That would be a hard case to make, however. This is all stuff that you should know, it looks to me like you are just afraid of the truth. Why would that be?

Absolutely correct. This entire reaction by the Dems to the Jan 6 protests is Star Chamber stuff intended to be their Reichstag Fire opportunity to entirely destroy their political opponents . Too bad for them it's backfiring on them. I can hardly wait to see their panic when Trump becomes the Republican candidate for President in 2024.

You are right...........the mere thought of Trump being the candidate in 24 is enough to make one very concerned. If a person with that many legal issues, a tendency for autocracy..........is the best the R's can do.........the country is in trouble.......but those with blind loyalty to the man.......are too blind to see it. He is to psychopathic and bent on revenge to be a good leader......let alone an objective or fair one. His devotees don't want fair, integrety..........etc.........they want a cult type leader.......not one that is truly democratic oriented.

No Republican is saying it wasn't a crime to break into the Capital. That is a given. What we are saying and showing is that the vast majority of the hundreds that did, caused no damage or tried to hurt anyone. The doors were broken open and with that, hundreds went in and did nothing more than look around. Now you may of had a few from the Poor boys and etc. that came down from NY just to cause trouble. But they were a small number. Going in and walking around doesn't deserve 4 years in prison when all you did is trespass. They made an example of him because of the way he was dressed. He was watched the whole time he was there by two Police officers. He called for peace when he went in and said a prayer for the Capital Guard who helped them.

Sadly those that committed the crimes and were so aggressive........give anyone else in that rioters group......a bad name. What might have been a "peaceful" protest.......was tarnished by those that committed the crimes. That is the issue with crowd/ cultist mentality.

I wouldn't mind seeing that myself, but Trump is too old, and has way too much baggage. It's time for a New Generation (drink Pepsi(tm)), so Desantis it shall be. He's got the chops, comes with Florida's 28 EC votes (thanks for the new one NY) locked up, and against Biden, can't lose.

Nice to see the outrage and gnashing of teeth has already started. We're all eager to watch the amping up of the outrage into insane hysteria.

In 2017, I died and visited the other side, an event that I remember parts of. It's not at all what the fundies would have us think. That's the upside. The downside is that it cost me the use of my legs, perhaps permanently, though I do continue to improve slowly, so it ain't over yet.

Odds are DeSantis doesn't run and if he does, he loses to Trump

Trump is going to be the nominee - that is the reality coming for 2024 - 2 bad candidates

I don't think Trump should actually run again either, I never voted for him anyway, but it's entertaining to watch the haters descend into the bowels of hell.

The truth as shown in the videos. I haven't seen all of them, and neither have you, so neither of us is in a position to know what's there. But your vociferous objections to their very existence tells me that you are quite concerned about what might be found within.

Me, I have no skin in the game, except for my disgust at those responsible for withholding evidence they were required by law to release to the defense. They should at the very least lose their Bar licenses, at least for a time. I was in a coma on 1/20/00, and for months thereafter, so I have no idea what transpired that day save what little I have read in various media outlets. If some/most/all of the rioters (if indeed that is an accurate portrayal) deserve to be in jail, that's fine by me.

However, if the prosecutors and/or anyone else involved in covering up the existence and contents of those videos deserve to be in jail, that is also fine by me.

Since politics is sensationalism. theater......and borders on a blood sport.........you have much to look forward too. and with a psychopath ina the mix........ you won't be bored.

Others observe these shenanigan as childish, while bringing out the worst in people. It all speaks to the culture that fosters this attitude and conduct.

It is getting to the point.........that one cannot take this country's politics seriously....... and there is no class/ couth anymore.

Indeed....... which makes one realize just how far the R's have deteriorated as a party. .........(no solid , experienced mature candidates, the values the party stood for don't exist any more. The only thing that matter is POWER, retaining Power and getting rich while doing it. Many seem to have forgotten why they were elected into power in the first place.
