This is going to be fun to watch. There are so many ways this could go, the list is too long to post here.

It makes sense, though, to create a department to manage gun confiscation. No doubt this is a step in that direction.

You gotta be quick and buy another AR-15 and hide it in the shed, before the Biden goons knock at your door to try to confiscate them all. The NRA and the gun manufacturers love you.

How is Biden going to stop gun violence? Guns don't aim themselves and pull their own triggers, people do that. So to end gun violence he either has to confiscate all the guns that are out there and prevent more from being smuggled in across our border, or he will have to focus on the types of people who commit the most gun violence and we KNOW he won't do that because it would be racist.

There are 400 million guns out there and he can't grab all of them, especially the unregistered ones in the hands gang bangers which is who he should be going after.

If YOU bought an AR-15, is the world in danger of more gun violence? I doubt it.

New survey confirms majority of guns used by criminals are taken from people’s homes and cars

They over hyped this same BS when Obama was POTUS. That created such a price hike on weapons and ammo, one could easily argue, by doing so, those that had few funds to purchase a weapon and ammo, would have been put out of their price range, and may have been robbed or worse during their false accusations. Another instance where their lies hurt the average American.

I don't doubt it. Just look at the recent escaped inmate manhunt near Philadelphia. In his week-long ordeal, the guy didn't manage to get food, but he managed to get a rifle, because a "responsible" gun owner had left it unattended and unsecured in a garage. There is something wrong with this picture when it is easier for a criminal on the run to get a gun than to get food.

Maybe the gun banners will claim the way to stop Oxy being used illegally is to ban people from being prescribed pain killers

He didn't, but feel free to make more false accusations. I'm sure those that can no longer buy weapons and ammo because the prices are inflated over false narratives are happy to know.

so you are claiming Obama didn't start squealing over reinstating the clinton gun ban after Sandy hook? I realize lefties want to blame the NRA but if the Democrats had never tried to ban guns, then I doubt the NRA would have caused hoarding. It was the democrats who have passed every single federal gun restriction

oh btw you are not being accurate about Obama
    https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/08/16/obama-gun-control-227625/

In January 2013, Obama proposed a long list of measures, including bans on assault weapons and armor-piercing bullets and a limit on the size of magazines.

    Wrong,

Drummond said he then watched as Cavalcante took food and walked out of his home. US marshals came to the home Sunday, searching the woods alongside his property, according to Drummond.

fyi, this illegal immigrant murdered his girlfriend with a knife.

That was one type of weapon, not all guns, and this gun confiscation started long before the Sandy Hook incident.

well let's look at your argument

    1) you claimed obama didn't call for gun bans-now you concede he did
    2) if you believe the government can properly ban commonly owned semi auto rifles, what weapons do you concede cannot be banned.
    3) what gun confiscation?

I will support Biden's efforts to stop gun violence if he starts in Chicago and gets it all cleaned up. Good luck Joe!

Chicago has about 20 shooting victims each weekend and those victims are mostly shot with illegal guns. Yet, nobody on the left calls this a crisis. Why?

fair enough and I note that most of those who want to harass lawful gun ownership are lying that their motivation is reducing gun violence.

I think that finding ways of reducing gun violence without infringing on the 2nd Amendment may be a worthwhile effort.
Thinking outside the box might be helpful.

The billions of dollars spent by anti-gun groups should be used to buy safes for gun owners.
