    Lol no.

I'm not taking a gun BACK that you used in a crime. That's YOUR gun now, and it was stolen from me.

So you'd say your argument boils down to "Those who have nothing to hide, have nothing to fear"?

That's what I think about the left every time they bring this topic up. Don't want to listen to actual solutions but just bring out the "registrations", "assault weapons," or "outlaw _______"

I already gave you links. I like other lawful gun owners, have nothing to hide, its your backside if you get caught.

Excessive for a single intruder. Perhaps inadequate for an entire gang of intruders. My home defence guns are a pistol and a shotgun. I have actually used the shotgun to defend my property, not by firing it but just by brandishing it.

Oh! Wow! A whole blog on a page that is easily searchable on the net.

How dumb do you think our police are? Entrapment isn’t as big a legal issue here as I gather it is there. Odds are that the traffic on that site is monitored and repeat visitors may get an interesting phone call or two. Bottom line

https://www.ussc.edu.au/by-the-numb...aths are a,contrast between the two countries.

If you really want to defend the USA gun laws or rather lack of them I suggest you start trotting out excuses for that disparity

Ummmmm - stats say that all that does is show the intruders something else they might want to steal

Y'all's cops don't seem very bright, since your country has had more mass shootings since the gun ban than before the gun ban...lol.

    Great job!

crime control-which is difficult-isn't the goal of gun restrictionists. Pandering to stupid people and pretending their schemes are useful is one of the two real goals. The other is harassing people who don't support their political agenda

Yes legislation should be about ensuring personal responsibility in relation to guns. Make it that if you are caught NOT a keeping the gun in the safe between uses then you lose your right to own a gun. Put pressure on the gun industry to come up with ways to make holsters only responsive to the gun owner etc etc etc

So thoughts and prayers is your solution? Even the NRA has blocked mental health studies and other items not related to banning guns altogether, partially, and so forth.

The first step to solve any problem is to understand the problem. Once you understand the problem, then you look for solutions to that problem based on the root cause, not symptoms.

that in no way actually addresses my point which is very sound given US gun banners are trying to ban guns rarely used in crime and demanding those who rarely commit crime be subjected to harassment that does nothing to stop real criminals.

because those who push registration do it for political reasons.it has no value in crime control. In 1996 Reno commissioned a massive poll of law enforcement officers and the vast majority opposed the brady bill and the assault weapon bill. Reno did not release the study publicly and instead noted how many big city police chiefs supported both even though over 90% of the rank and file officers opposed it. Problem for Reno is that ever since Ford was the president, the US Attorney's offices were a mixture of GOP and DNC appointees and I and a bunch of other GOP appointees had access to that study

OK....so let's hear some solid ideas for solutions to the weapons problem.

Or IS it a problem in your view ?? Maybe gun violence is just one of things that come with gunn ownership and the number of weapons that float around in this country.
If that is OK.....say so. If not, then what are people prepared to do to reduce the amount of gun violence?? .Where does the responsibility lie........when any rules that might be suggested are quickly nixed by weapons enthusiasts.

IOW, this isn't going to accomplish **** all and will, basically, be a government funded anti-gun propaganda organ.
